What's this?!!!

LINK

An "Outerdoor Blue Speaker" (in Black) - but it's something I've never seen before.  I also assume it's something Bang & Olufsen have never seen before.

I can only guess there's a factory in China knocking these out 24/7 in time for the Christmas rush, with the owner smoking a fat cigar as I type this!

A Bang & Olufsen product (not B&O Play) for only £40.00!  They don't ship to the U.S.so I'm out!  I wonder who would buy this and believe it is a real Bang & Olufsen... after reading the box!

Surely the factory in China hasn't stolen a prototype and put it into production behind their backs?

Sorry : I'm being a bit presumptuous here. It could be any country. Sorry to anyone from China!

If this was an actual B&O product, they wouldn't be able to put it in production and sell it for that price would they???  (Unless B&O already paid for the parts.)

It just doesn't look like a B&O Play product.  It looks too common!

Could be the rumoured BeoPlay M5... Seems to be able to act as a speaker phone too... very strange... Never ever trust the Chinese...

Could be the rumoured BeoPlay M5...

No way is this the M5. Guys, a quick look at the button detail on the device shows it's a blatant fake. Someone has got hold of a cheap bluetooth speaker and added te B&O logo and a box.

if this is a B&O product, quality-wise, it would have to sit in the <£100 price point.

Not the M5 for sure.

Yes it's not B&O form language and not really BeoPlay either. I also think B&O are moving to USB-C on portable speakers so this is probably a fake or a product example designed by the factory for B&O to evaluate, when choosing factories.

Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2,
BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century,
BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i,
BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40,
BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)

Had a descent look at the pictures... Clearly a (well done) fake device! Packaging is totally not B&O...

Still calling micro SD memory cards "TF" makes it extremely Chinese...

And it's not available any longer Sad Laughing

While impressive the lengths the manufacturer went to create a BeoPlay-ish product, it certainly isn't the M5 nor a copy of an upcoming product. Great price though! Big Smile

Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
