Hello Everybody!

Just a note from myself and the moderating team to sincerely thank you all for your contributions, opinions, hospitality, understanding, help, advice and humour throughout 2016.  You've been your normal witty selves, with the good natured, helpful and supportive approach to issues and problems which BeoWorld is famous for. Thank you for this, from everyone you helped : wether they let you know or not.

We can often solve one issue for one person in public, then from that twenty or thirty people can receive the exact same help by reading the thread at a later date.  The knowledge we have on here for all to see and read is incredible. I'm amazed sometimes.

It's been a strange year for B&O as a company.  I'm not entirely sure if they've taken three steps forward and two steps back in 2016, or just one step forward. Either way the share price is high, so something good must be happening! Software seems to have bitten them once again though, but hopefully they can get it sorted.

As for us here on BeoWorld, well - it's just been a normal year. No dramas, no mishaps, and Keith has been behind the scenes making sure we don't get hacked, attacked or infiltrated (we get about 2-5 hack attempts every single day) so the site just appears to glide along with no issues from the standpoint of us mere mortals. Thank you Keith, who has told me he will be beefing up security over Christmas even further - plus he'll be taking a look at a few functionality issues too.

So, from us all, we'd like to wish everyone here a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy, Healthy New Year!

Cheers!

Lee & The Moderators.

PS : The Christmas Draw will be on December 30th, and the prizes will be listed shortly.

Wishing everyone a very Happy Christmas and wonderful New Year. No longer very useful on site as most of my knowledge is about 30 years out of date but glad to see the new generation still enthusiastic. And a big thank you to Lee for all he does to make this site what it is.

Bah humbug! (Well, someone had to say it.)

Merry Christmas to all, and hope the season is joyful and safe. Thanks to Lee and our mods for keeping this kindergarten under some semblance of control!

And Peter, your 30 year old knowledge is priceless for those trying to keep older gear running and to understand the historic past of B&O!

Ooh nice. Congrats.  I would love to see what they look like.  Did they have one on in show at the store?  If so could you please send through a picture?

Kind regards, and Merry Christmas.

Beovirus victim, it's gotten to be too much to list!

I'd second that and also I'd like to thank Martin ('Dillen') for all his helpful advice this year.

Yes this is a great site for sure and I always look forward to checking BeoWorld as part of my daily routine.

B&O do seem to have made some odd decisions with some recent product releases and at these times I can be their harshest critic, but it's passion driving this. This inexplicable and totally consuming love affair goes back 39 years to that 9 year old boy staring through a dealership window on his way to school who caught a glimpse of a magical device that seemed to lift itself up when placed on a flat service... the BeoLink 7000 of course. I had never seen anything like it and it fuelled my already active imagination even further with 'the future' that I felt very much part of and was witnessing for the first time in my young life. These memories stay with you and once 'bitten by the bug' it's hard to let go.

Here's hoping B&O continues to drive, thrive and survive 2017 and beyond!

A happy and healthy Christmas and new year to you all, Simon.

Big Smile

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

Merry Christmas to all at Beoworld.

Its been a great and tough year but to echo BAND'OH' its driven by passion for the brand.

Looking forward to 2017 which for me will hold a new career move, new house and then a whole new range of working out which Bang and Olufsen devices to put in which rooms.
Happily the BLGW allows me to conenct to and use much easier lighting systems and devices giving a great automation system.

Better than Pizza, Taco or Burgers I suppose... Big Smile

I had to Google 'Saturnalia' !!!

"Q: What was Saturnalia, and how was it celebrated? A: It was the Romans' mid-winter knees up! It was a topsy-turvy holiday of feasting, drinking, singing in the ..."

I do hope you ate the cake wearing a toga?  I know you love attention to detail.

Merry Christmas to all. It's the time of year thoughts turn to a Beosound 1 or some new headphones for my wife . But the Beolit 15 is doing such a good job in the kitchen as the girls prepare things I'm not sure I can justify it!

Well Lee, eat while in togate?!?! The horror! No self respecting Patrician would do such a thing! Big Smile

Most of them hated wearing the toga even in the Senate. But when I did a party of Roman cooking I do have to admit I wore a bedsheet...toga, toga, toga!

As for things being turned upside down during Saturnalia, why, my wife has even been allowing me to believe I'm in charge temporarily!

Watched the Blackadder Christmas Show last night. Now the only thing I have left on my must watch at Xmas list is "A Christmas Story." You'll shoot your eye out kid!
