Under certain light conditions (not those in this picture), they really "disappear" on the white background...

You could of course but for rears in your place I would go 4000s others would differ.
I am putting up a similar set up as you 10-40 and 12.3,
Why did you put the lenses to the bottom ? I find in 3 set ups so far that they sounded better in the reverse position.

Value for money, a hard speaker to beat. They can be wall mounted and pointed any where.
I only tried my 12.3s on Sunday ,lens top-lens bottom and top was clearly different in my room. I am waiting on the wall brackets to conclude that trial.
I did the same in a 12.2 set up for music only.
I would go for the BeoLab 12-2 for the rears.
Or the BeoLab 3.
Both have the acoustic lenses, and the design complement your 12-3.
Yes, the 12-2 are available in silver, white and dark grey.

Thanks mate. I'm loving it. I was having trouble setting it up with my dongle in the country, but then i realised I was putting in the wrong password, so no wonder it wasn't working. All up and running fine. A lot more portable than the BS8 so i can lug it in the car easy. Love the white, although I would have liked the natural leather strap instead of the black but never mind, it's great.
If you're able to add rear channels, why not, especially if you watch a lot of movies where surround sound is of benefit. If you don't, then don't bother. The 12's would also look good on your rear wall as there is a bit of furniture there, something simple will help maintain your current elegance.

I would consider adding BL3's in white as rear speakers. I'm using them as well as rear speakers and must say that they are quite convincing. Small, but beautiful.

Dear forum members,
I’m very impressed of the many positive reactions on the Avant photoserie in our home. To all of you: thank you so much.
In a relative short time we have gone from a 10/40, 11/46 to the Avant 55”. Isn’t it strange one always want to bye a bigger screen with a more brilliant image. Now for us, the Avant will be the last one. Bigger [and many times more expensive!] will not fit into our living.
Are we satisfied?
SD image is moderate, but good enough.HD is magnificent.Bly-ray is super.4K? We have to wait for. But the items on You Tube are fine.Sound, especially in combination with the 9 and 12, is excellent.
P.S. For them who want to wait for the next generation Avant will be disappointed because B&O has decided not to add in HEVC codecs. Next update firmware will be HDMI 2.0 [according to a test in FlatpanelsHD].
Out with the old.....

Yup, traded in the BV7, it was a 6/7 year old MK3, so quite old, but I got a reasonable enough price....

Lovely setup! The Avant really does go well (I'd say if not BETTER) with the classic B&O Designs of Lewis (BL8K and BL2) Lovely! Someone should photoshop the new avant into the first gen avant brochures. It'd likely look just as classic!
