The V1 installation there would be enough to put people off buying one ! It cannot be by the B&O store with all that cable showing and the wall bracket back to front .

Finally a Beosound 9000 has been added to my collection - through a coincidence I was given the opportunity to buy a MK3 from 2009 in mint condition for a fair price. Now I wonder what I should do with the Beosound 2300...

My B&O products: Beosound 9000, Beosound 2300, Beosound Century, Beolab 8000, Beolab 6000, Beolab 4000 x2, Beolab 3500, Beolab 2000, Beolab 10, Beolink Active x2, Beotime, Beo5 x2, Beo4, A9 keyring x2, LC2 dimmer x6 and growing....

Didn't you notice that the poster wrote:

"It's just temporary. I'm waiting for the Avant TV"

However one could ask, why he then had to post the picture?

Thank heavens there are other pictures too.

They do show how people live with B&O products - not everyone has the same taste and style!

I enjoy when companies connect to their customers in this way and it was good to see so many pictures posted which to me is a positive thing, counters the argument that the average age of FB fans is 11 years old (unless they all have lucrative paper rounds).

Just 2 pictures of my new(old) setup :)

I have had the BM7000 at standalone for some time now, just for the radio/aux source for my Beolab 7.1 speaker, but found a cheap mint condition CD7000, and an BL7000 in need of new 2-way caps and backlight..

So I decided to go back in time a bit :) Found a "mix" box for sale here in Denmark that held 7!! MC2AV boxes with cables and IR receivers, 2 LC2 light dimmers, and 1 Beolink 5000 remote with pixelerrors, but in nice and working condition.

One of the LC2's had the same IR issue as the remote, fixed with new caps.

So my new(back in time) setup now is :

Beomaster 7000/cd7000 with 2 link rooms, and LC2 dimmers in bedroom and living room.

How cool is it to be woken by the light at dim-level 8, and then after 5 minutes the cd switches on together with the light going a bit brighter :) Just love this old 2-way classic !!

Oh and by the way, my IP TV Box / AppleTV / WDTV Live and the Samsung TV is all controlled by my Beo6 in 3rd party mode :)

All boxes are hidden in the cabinet with an IR extender below the BL7.1..

My new BS2 and A8. I use it in the way it was ment for: hit the play button and enjoy 1 or 2 albums in perfect quality, and I absolutely love it in this way!

Very nice Bramble !

I hope Michael will now show his two tone Lab4s.

As most know, we were an early adopter of the A3 and love(d) it. Sadly Apple's continued enhancements and vagaries of the various video Apps we use has reduced our "video MCP" Stick out tongue efficacy.

So I have retired the A3 to our bathroom where she sings to me as I shave. I use our iTunes music library and SWMBO uses the B&O App to access her favourite talk back radio station.

In this picture I was listening to the LINN sampler that celebrates their 40 years - hence the tone arm !

Time to test my Beocord 1100 which I found in a Danish thrift store some months ago for not much. The rosewood needs oil and 2 rubber feet to the right for standing straight. Otherwise I found this sturdy player working fine. No need for a belt change just yet. Very nice indeed. So its now playing through the Beosystem 6500 and I love the many options that you have with such a system. AUX or TP1 or TP2? So far TP1 is the choice. It sounds great!

Great find, I also have a beocord 1100 that is trapped in the U.k. At the moment, I was following it on eBay and it went for 99p with no other bidders, when I was back in May I plugged it in to an amp and couldn't believe the sound , it was just amazing so I am looking forward to getting it here in thailand soon

mine is the aluminium finish but it is in perfect condition and all functions work, now I desperately need the beomaster 901 to go with it, glad you like it

I'm very happy with the sound. Powerful, deep and precise. But not stereo. Room filling as B&O claims.

Nice, Anders - may I suggest that you host a Midtsommarafton-party there next year ;-)

I also like the old Avant DVD setup, and looking at the rear concrete wall of the room with the 220v outlets I do understand why B&O developed high-end wireless speakers - would be tricky to route cables to some rear speakers, I guess.

Not only was it a rather Scandinavian design theme to the house, but especially the kitchen did strike me as a very Swedish modern twist to a "sommar stuga".

Hello Markiedee,

I really like your setup and it's actually quite funny, but I was thinking about a similar setup myself: A Loewe Individual Slim Frame 46 without speaker + a pair of Beolab 14.

Here is my question then:

Do you use the TV remote to adjust the sound of the Beolab?

Is it annoying to no have a central speaker when you watch TV? Do you really have the feeling the sound comes from the TV or is the sound too much spread out?

When you listen to some music, do you use the TV as a mediacenter?

Can you please take a picture of the Audio link system ensuring the connection between the TV and the Beolab?

Thanks for your help, it's much appreciated.

Hi Fredpert, using B&O speakers with loewe tvs is one of the easiest experiences for me personally. Due to the fact that it has a pre-amp built into the tv.

with the older loewe compose i had you would use the audio link cable which had Left right, centre, rears and sub connections which with the appropriate cables made it possible to hook up active speakers.

you would then go into the tvs menu and select the speaker system option, from there you adjust the speakers distances, frequencies and volume output and weather or not you have a center or subwoofer connected.

Where i had beolab 14s hooked up i chose 30hz frequency for the speakers. Everything ran perfectly with the tv sending volume out to the speakers turning on when they sensed a signal and off to standby when the TV was switched off.

Due to a few issues I had with my tv is why I was upgraded to the newer individual slim frame model. This model has a digital audio link which requires a digital audiolink converter as that attaches to the audiolink cable with an Ethernet cable supplied going into the loewe.

from there it was a case of setting it up exactly the same as I did with my previous one. The sound quality was definitely enhanced and i loved it unfortunately the replacement tv has issues where it would crash when opening up the EPG or when changing channels.

But one thing why I would say I'm upset is the fact that it didn't suffer from no backlight bleed or clouding the smoothest motion reproduction I've ever seen due to the new adjustable motion compensation settings and new processors and very deep black levels.

it was perfect, blurays standard def all looked amazing bar those problems it really was a good tv. I was offered another one but due to my experience i chose not to get another one just in case the same thing happened again.

I got my eyes on the new loewe 4k models they look and sound amazing I won't be using my beolab 14s with it though as it has a built in speaker.

i currently use my beolabs connected to a Logitech bluetooth adapter paired up with my samsung Galaxy streaming spotify wirelessly, it's just amazing and sounds really nice controlling the volume and tracks all from my phone.

Hello everyone Smile

Popping in to show you the latest in the evolution of my BS4500...

I have FINALLY raised the Fostex pm0.4n monitors up off of the floor after what feels like years of putting off the project. Thanks to my roomate, I was able to 3D print a mount of my design to allow the Fostii to connect to the stand. The monitors are finally at ear height now and holy cow what a difference! Not sure how I was surviving with them on the floor..

The reason I am posting this to the "Flash your B&O" thread is because this is the last time you will see my 4500 for a while.. It (along with all other stereo bits) is getting packed away and awaiting relocation! I am moving, so the Beo needs to hibernate until I settle back down.

This move is also the primary reason I have been so absent from the forums! This January I will be done with school and will be getting back into the hobby full force, just like the good old days. Wink

If you like listening to the news or talk radio, the A2 is actually much easier to listen to as its somewhat less boomy than its big brothers.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.
