Today I bought a pair of CX100 and a pair of C75. They look lovely. I am going to re-foam them and I am sure they will sound excellent after that.

As you can see they blend well with todays B&O too. Been wanting to get my hands on these models for some time. Smile

Thanks for posting, Michael. I have never seen CX speakers in the flesh. Placing one next to that sweet BL9 puts it into perspective. They're larger than I had originally thought.

Thank you Sal!

I agree, they are quite big but yet quite small. I´ve only had CX50´s before which are much smaller and lighter (and never had the alu/black design which I think is the best one).

Really looking forward to hear how the C75 differs from the CX100, as far as I know they should sound better than the CX100, but both should be good..

Need to find a suitable amp for them - and I don't know yet what I will use the speakers for. Perhaps one pair will go to my office at work.

I noticed that the stripe on the sides of the CX100 have turned a bit yellow (not on the C75´s tough and not very easy to spot either). Perhaps this is a result of smoke or UV-light? If anyone here has any idea of how to fix it I would appreciate that.

a good condition Beocenter 9000 would be perfect match for your speakers.

I agree, I once had a BeoCenter 9500 which was very nice. A bit big and wide perhaps. A more compact system would be better I think, and preferably something that has a decent digital(or energy efficient) amp and AirPlay etc.

The BeoMaster 5500/5000 would also look good but is to dated by its electronics.

I think he's starting to have the B&O bug and I'm responsible for that.

He's wife got a white A8 when it came out on my advice.

Now they got an A9 and are interested in the Avant.

I plead guilty !

not sure if this is genuine but I have enjoyed using my Bang & Olufsen "marked" letter opener for many years , it's so beautifully weighted and so tactile ..... Shame all I receive in the post these days is bills.....

OK, letter opener, I was wondering if it was that or a champagne saber!

For tactile pleasure I'm very fond of my Beotime. Feels and looks wonderful and an excellent user interface.

Congrats Michael, I am sure Beolab 19 now brings it to another level. :)

And btw, I think you were right when you decided for a silver design. As much as I would be by default inclining to white I agree with your previous observation that silver looks better in the end - especially with other equipment (Avant etc.) Really wonderful, you must be very happy. :)

What can you suggest as a color for a bl19 for my living room? The most natural choice would be to go for the white version, but maybe... I don't know...

@paolo.

Seems white would be best - not silver.

But the black would make a nice bold statement:

"Here I am; look at me, look at me !!"

Of course you may prefer subtlety Smile

Thank you Elephant! I'll take it into consideration.

Do you think I could place it next to the little table near the sofà? I mean... I would replace the cactus... Smile

I think the silver would make a nice addition. Too much white is not nice.

i would also go for silver in Paolos room too. It would be a natural colour combination with your lovely floor.

Otherwise what i would do is do a fine white a black painted stripe version for your room - but that is my opinion, otherwise, silver.
