Thanks for your replies. You got me hooked, this sounds really cool. This would make the perfect box to hide away stuff.

Will the HDR2 or BM5000 be fully empty or are there elements that cannot be removed? WOuld really love to have a clean metal box that I can use to hude away cables.

I removed all the internals on my beocord 5500, then used a metal grinder to make it flush inside. Then I mounted the ice-modules.

the_o_master:
And how is your setup connected to the BV 7-32? Do you use this CX-100 as a central speaker? How did you connect the Cona in the setup (is it the COna in the right corner)?

The  BV7-32 is connected to the beomaster via ML-T1611-Datalink-aux/tape2 connection. Works perfect throughout the house with MCL system. The center powerlink from the BV is connected to a beolink passive, which is hidden in the big closet next to the mc30. The cona is connected to the bl passive, and the CX100 are actually 2 Cx50, left and right center, connected to the outputs of the Cona. I did not really like any of the Bv7 center labs. I tried to connect the cona to the sub powerlink, but that only works with 5.1 configuration, and I coul not fit more speakers in the room. The beomaster is connected to RL60.2 and RL35 speakers. So the CX and Cona are only for the BV.

Beosound 5 Encore + Beosystem 5500 + S45.2; BV7-40 MKV + BL7.1 + BL14.4+ AppleTV4; various link rooms with MCL2 A or MCL2 A/V + RL60.2 / CX100 / CX50 & Cona  / IWS2000; BG4000; Beosystem 1200 + BV1600.

As I see your iPad doesn't have a jailbreak. I hope you have a key to get out.

I may be slightly biased but I think a white 70's 6000 quad system is the ultimate looking B&O system. Not the best sounding but beautiful and with a huge wow factor even now. People can't believe it's 40 years old until they see the size of the commander.

I sent my BeoLit 12 for repair yesterday. I usually have it in my kitchen. In the meantime I replaced it with a pair of CX100 that I reformed this summer. They are connected to a BOSE acoustimass 3 Series 2 with a built-in amp, connected to a first gen AirPort Express via ethernet for AirPlay.

I put the speakers on the floor to make them less obvious and it actually works great. Even from upstairs I enjoy music from them perfectly.

Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2,
BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century,
BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i,
BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40,
BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)

Very stylish place!  Love the lamp and the floors and 2nd floor railings. A perfect style for B&O gear.

Well done Mike. You may as well make use of the Acoustimass if you can :-)  Your place is looking great :-)

Just added the BL 5 (upgraded from BL 8000/BL 2) to my setup. A pair of BL 3 flank the sofa on other side. Couldn't be happier Big Smile

I follow this thread and enjoy it very much, and I really wish there was some kind of like function here, as there are so many interesting and inspiring setups. Well, I finally completed the new bathroom project this weekend as I received the missing component - the Essence MK2 with wheelie. I haven´t seen any BL15/16s here, so I hope it´s okay that I post a few pictures. Unfortunately, the pictures was taken using an iPhone and not a camera this time.

The wheelie is fantastic for this use, my wife finally has no problems turning on radio and Spotify herself - and I turn on the music even for very small visits to the bathroom.

With 5mm margin it was NOT easy for the guys building the bathroom to cut holes for the speaker, but they did a great job and I really think it looks fantastic.

I installed them on top of each corner of each side of the long wall, facing inwards and downwards - I´m not sure if that´s unortodox, and it probably looks better to have them vertical or horizontal - but this is probably best for sound quality in a naked bathroom.

Of course, the BL16 is also present. Feels great and a little crazy to have a sub in the bathroom. Cool

Of course, sound quality is what it is in a bathroom with tiles - but it´s not bad and it´s really good for being a bathroom - and we get to enjoy this setup a lot.

Now I need to save up some money to add other zones in the house to the new multiroom setup. I took the liberty to add some previously posted pictures of my existing setup (I took over 6 BL8000s, 2 BL4000s and a BS9000 when buying the house last year - that´s where it all started) - but without comments this time, hope it´s not too much.

Must be nice to have the subwoofer between yourself sitting on the pot and the door - just turn up the volume, when needed 😺

Thanks guys!

koning:

That' true, but as mentioned is really good for being a bathroom, and a lot of bathroom activities like taking a shower, shaving, brushing teeth, giving the kids a bath etc. probably woulden't allow for the best listening experience anyway. The angle of the speakers helps a lot, and you can really enjoy both radio talk and good music while taking a shower - which has been totally inpossible with my previous speakers and Tivoli radios etc.

BV11 with 8002 and 6000 surround + mated to a BK XXLS400 sub, which I am still trying to set up, will move behind TV when I can understand the BV11 technical sound guide, which may be some time!!

Thanks for your comments, will make a few more pictures of the B&O / Beoplay in the Living / Dinning Room (BS5) and maybe a picture from the bathroom (Just an A3, but maybe I upgrade around XMas to the A6).

BL/NL Converter is the next purchase.
