Thanks everyone!
Yes indeed they're a pair of Beolab 20's... and a Beosound Essence MkII (+ 2 table remotes). What's not pictured is an A6 which has taken to her new home on a bureau in the bedroom.
Unfortunately, the BL20's will sit in the box for a few more days until we get some furniture moved around as we prepare for guests for the holidays. When they're set up, believe me, I'll be taking lots of pictures. If anyone wants an unboxing montage, just say so, I'd be happy to oblige. Everything is sitting there just as the picture even now. I won't be touching it until it is time.
Unboxing!

I could never get a pair of BL 20's. My cat would use them as a scratcher within minutes and to be honest I wouldn't blame her as they really look the part.

BeoLab 18's. Beolab 3's. A8. A9. A2. H7.
Here's the unboxing. Forgive me I'm not a professional or even adept photographer. Also, they're not set up in their final positions, this is a temporary move to get the large box out of the way. Enjoy!
My cat was very interested this large new "thing" in her kingdom. Luckily, she is old and can't climb, and doesn't claw at anything (she was adopted as a declawed older cat).
I'm love the way B&O packs items. Below is the underside of the top styrofoam in case anyone is interested.
The two brothers are covered in a common shroud... ready for the unveiling. Below are the two soft touch black plastic back plates. I didn't take a picture of the power cords or the manual which came with the speakers.
Here they are (below). They're quite tall and substantial, but at the same time not too much so.
A close up of the acoustic lens:
My wife got me a pair of cheap white gloves since she knew I was a bit fastidious about not getting prints on anything. These will work great when I'm cleaning my other B&O kit, especially the BV11 glass, as I usually wipe it with the speaker cover off to get an even clean, and put the speaker cover back on. Invariably, I get prints around the speaker cover.
These speakers felt heavier than the BL9's. But that could be because I'm getting weaker! The empty box and packaging. Similar to the BL9 packaging, but different of course.
Finally, a couple of pictures of the 20's in their temporary position next to their younger brother the BL9's. The pictures don't do justice to how much bigger the 20s are than the 9's. They might not be bigger in actual volume, but to me they're much more visually substantial. And easily taller as you can see. Will report back on how they sound after they're set up with the Essence. Also, I haven' removed the bottom fret protector. Will remove that when they're in their final location.
First of all - congrats!
Allow me the question - are they going to replace the 9's and are those going to be used with your new Essence in another room?
Or?
Nice, will be interested to find out how you think they sound relative to the BL9s.
Stood together like that they start to remind me of pieces on a chess board - It's a shame you don't have a black and white tiled floor!
You'd obviously need a few more different model beolabs (and another set in white I guess!)
Martin.

They're going to be used with the Essence in a "music only" (L + R only) listening area in another part of the house.

Sounds reasonably.
However, I would be too curious not to try out both pairs in combination with the Essence respectively the tv ;-)
we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.

Looks great in all black.
But as all wonders, how does the BL20 compare to the old BL9s?

Some very cool systems on this thread. My very humble setup consists of a BeoSound Essence MkII with BeoLab 3's and a BeoLab 11. I also have a Kuzma Stabi S as a vinyl source that is connected via a Pro-Ject Phono Box RS phono stage to the Essence. Furthermore, I have DSpeaker Dual Core 2.0 room correction device added between the Essence and the BeoLab 11.
This is a pure audio setup. No B&O in the TV or home theatre systems - at least not yet :)
Love the all white setup.
Beoplay A2
Are the BL3's acting a centre channel or sides? Do you still get good stereo separation if they are sides?
Teme:Furthermore, I have DSpeaker Dual Core 2.0 room correction device added between the Essence and the BeoLab 11.
Beautiful record player.
This is a point of interest to me, could you please explain why you have the DSpeaker room correction between Essence and BL11. What are your listening experiences with the DSpeaker and the setup in a way you are using it? Have you ever added the DSpeaker between the BL3's + BL11, I mean between your complete setup and how it sounds with or without room correction?

The connections are: Essence -> DSpeaker -> BeoLab 11 -> BeoLab 3's
In other words, the BeoLab 11 does its internal bass management before passing the signal on to the BeoLab 3's. This was the BeoLab 3's do not try and produce the entire frequency spectrum but can focus on what they do best while the BeoLab 11 does the same on the lower frequencies. However, the DSpeaker that is upstream can correct both the frequencies that are reproduced by the BeoLab 11 as well as those by the BeoLab 3's (well, up to 500Hz at least - still experimenting if lifting the upea limit for corrected frequencies from 120Hz to 500Hz has any downsides that are outweighing the benefits).
So far I like what the DSpeaker does and my listening space does not even appear to be that bad...

Just received this little beauty and I'm very happy with it! I've always wanted a Beolit 500 and I plan to wall mount it when I can get round to fabricating a bracket!
Here's my current setup. Upgraded from 3s to 18s to now 5s. They are connected to a Playmaker/projector/Apple TV. I also have a A9 in my bedroom.

smile and enjoy the moment
I've tilted the 5s inward since this picture was taken. Currently, it's sent via AirPlay from Apple TV to Playmaker. It's not the best option as I have several remotes and it cuts out sometimes, but it works. I'm considering a BeoVision Avant 55, but that means I sacrifice screen size for simplicity and surround sound. Not sure what I'll do yet.
Looks awesome!
My setup 2015. BeoVision 11, BeoLab3, BeoLab 2 and PUC controlled BeoGram 3500
does look good with the red fret....
MCB:PUC controlled BeoGram 3500
How is this possible? I have a Beogram 6500, is this possible to be controlled with a PUC?
I was wondering the same.
You can only 'puc-control' something, that has an ir-receiver.
