No offense to owners , but this product is far from nice designs let alone from B & O icons.Just looks like a cheap Chinese BT speaker. If there were no strings B & O logo on the pendant.
And the price ....uff....no comment.

Apparently it does sound B&O — icons are not made from day one, they 'rust' in. And not everything can be iconic.
I disagree. It's made of aluminium not plastic. It's nicely put together. It's compact size is perfect. I love the iconic B&O logo in aluminium on the leather strings.
It's definitely not overpriced. EVERY single review is saying that it is the best small bluetooth speaker on the market. The YouTube testers are loving it. Even the comments from YouTube viewers are positive. I can't recall a B&O product that has created so much interest especially to a non BANG&OLUFSEN customer base! To me, it's the best PLAYY product of all time. I'd just like to see more colours - all white with a tan leather strings, a black and a rose gold / copper with black base and maybe the ocean blue and maybe a red or orange one.
It's a shame that B&O doesn't have a print campaign for it yet. It missed the 100th Anniversary issue of VOGUE. That would of been a real target market catchment for them :(
Have you listened to it? Did you touch it?
It is heavy, well build, and the aluminium gives a nice feel. You have to play a bit with it and make your own opinion. And it is not very expensive either... A Bose soundlink mini is only a bit cheaper but doesn't come close to it when speaking about the acoustics performances. Although the maximum sound level is 80% compared to my Beloit 15, I find it better, with a full rich and clear sound, when my BeoLit 15 sometimes has boomy bass (when 20-30 cm from a wall).
I think Benoit sums up nicely the success of this lil beauty!
I see a beautiful, elegant lady in her red open top vintage car driving around the South of France or the Amalfi Coast with the A1 on her passenger seat playing some jazz or chill out flavors! There's a scent of lemons and jasmine in the air whilst the sun beams down on her straw boater hat and caresses her impeccable tanned skin :)
Do not get me wrong :)I commented only appearance and price app 200€ .But I believe those who have this unit...that sound is in terms of size very good.Personally, I do not have it and I doubt that I'll buy it. It's just not to my eyes..I own more than 10 B&O units and I'm a fan of this brand for quite some time :)
@marexy
Should you ever need a small portable/bluetooth speaker - try it out...
...you won't regret it, honestly.

It would be electric Duels :) When the cities are so full of pollution from 1900s engines, I can't in anyway endorse the motor car. I saw children playing on a main road the other day, they were constantly breathing cancerous diesel fumes. My heart absolutely broke. Innocent little 7 year olds.
I'm proud that I ride everywhere on a bicycle. I don't miss my car at all. I don't think i'll ever buy one again. I guess that i'm one of the lucky ones :)

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"
leosgonewild:Are people still be living that electric cars are better for the environment than regular cars? Do people think that electricity is less polluting than gasoline?
Do people think that electricity is less polluting than gasoline?
I guess it depends on how the electricity is generated, but it does annoy me that electric vehicles are marketed as zero emissions when the reality is that the 'emissions' have just been relocated to the power stations.
And whilst the cycling / public transport arguments might stack up for those living in larger cities, they are not really feasible for those of us living in more rural areas - even if we had the kind of public transport networks available to those in the city, I still can't transport a van load of tools and materials that way.
Anyway, this is *very* off topic for this thread and this forum so I best draw my rant to a close
Martin.

Paul , what does a discerning guy like you chose for a bike then?
I'm eyeing up a Cinelli Saetta at the moment, with a Campagnolo groupset of course!

I would see this woman in that Mini Superlegera Vision Concept :
BeoGreg:Holes.
Im glad you posted the BeoCom 5 base because that is what the A1 reminds me of - it has the same use, except no landline telephone
I love the holes

leosgonewild: Aussie Michael: They're very good in stereo. How do you know which one is which, Michael? I think I have to mark one if mine with a black dot or something.

They are marked:
Right: B&O logo right close to the speaker
Left: B%O logo left far away from speaker
BeoGreg:Very nice stereo system Michael ! The "mickey mouse".
leosgonewild:I was thinking more about recognizing them physically. I think I will just color the logo plate or simply write L and R on the back of the logo.
Aussie Michael: I love the holes
TWG: Aussie Michael: I love the holes I'm so glad that I knew that I was in a B&O forum while reading that comment...
Pervorations?
the Beolit 15 had an interesting story about how the perforations were individually drilled but the 12 seems to have them stamped all the same size ,in a more affordable way. I was dusting the Beocenter 6 today and that has round perforations as does the V1. The whole story is quite consistent.
... in the design
Thanks for saving me Simon, yes, perforations
Aussie Michael: leosgonewild: I was thinking more about recognizing them physically. I think I will just color the logo plate or simply write L and R on the back of the logo. That makes sense if you always will use them in a stereo setup

I also distinctly thought that in a stereo setup, one a1 has a stronger light (on off light) than the other. I was studying it for ages, then i was wondering if i was wearing beer googles.
@Peter Pan
Is that girl part of your new setup - something that you want to flash?

Why write Millemissen on this thread ?. He has no pictures of Bang & Olufsen products to show.Only BeoPlay.
