Duels:Looking good Stijngc. Nice room with a cool style. What cover is on the A9?
stijndc:Hi Duels, thanks. It's the Kvadrat light grey cover.

@stijndc:the wood table looks amazing!
Moved house again - anyone else in Bucharest???
Just spent 4 hours setting this up - hiding the wires is a massive pain with an open-backed shelving system. Thought I'd dig my BL4000s out of storage and give them a go. Also tried my best to hide the Playmaker!
Now to sort out the rest of the room. Perhaps a larger TV is required?

What is the round silver thing in the corner?

Beold: Looks nice and clean. What is the round silver thing in the corner? Mike
I was just going to ask, I think it's a round speaker that was made either by Grundig or Philips in the 60s, anyway it looks like one.
Gorgeous B&O setup! two of my favorite pieces, the Beocenter and the Beolab 4000s, they look soooo good together, and the Playmaker is where it belongs, down low and not highlighted, it's not the prettiest piece by comparison.
Jeff
I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus.
Agree it looks like the Grundig speakers with the fantastic name of Audiorama 7000.
You can still buy these. Now they are called Audiorama 8000.
Kallasar, you beat be to it. You are correct the new ones are Audiorama 9000.
Fred_Nerk: Re Beolab 90: How do they sound? I have been quite content to listen to my BL8000s with or without my BL2 depending on the music and my mood.......Until in March I was invited to a B&O "event". We were introduced to the BL 90. The speakers were in our town for a week. We went back twice more and listened to our music as well as the demonstration tracks. What makes these speakers stand out is more than the quality of the sound (which is very good, clear and realistic). The "staging" is the new experience for me. The speakers produce the sound in a way that gives not only a direction to the voice or instrument, but also the distance. As my wife said, it is like every track played is a concert or a studio performance. The sound staging gives an illusion that the sound does not come from the speakers at all. Here is a picture of my speakers. I am sure you all will have seen lots of promotional pictures which look far better than my effort. They are big and beautiful. The main downside is that there are quite a few functions/features of these speakers yet to be implemented. For me, I want the full implementation of the Automatic Room Compensation (APC).......it's coming.

mirrors? hard floor ? ........are you serious?
a waste of money!!!!
Even with the implementation of the Automatic Room Compensation you can't have a good sound.
Sorry to distress you koning. Your concern about my wasting money is mistaken. You are perfectly entitled to voice your opinion, and to reassure you;
1. They are windows (not mirrors) and I have not drawn the (concealed) blinds.
2. Yes, it is a hard floor (for now). But the placement of the speakers is temporary. We are building a new house and the speakers can have a softer floor.
3. The whole point of the room compensation features of the BL90 is to "overcome" the limitations of the room. From my perspective it has been money well spent to obtain the best sound for the available environment. I would consider it a waste of money to put these speakers in a perfect listening environment where the ARC would be unnecessary.

My Bathroom with BS essence (Main box in the loft driving a beopassive) with 2 beovox 1 either side of the door, the view is from the bathtub! (don't think I was laying sideways when I took the picture, will blame my iphone for making it go sideways!)
Duels, yes its a wooden bath, when we did our extension I turned the old kitchen into a new bathroom so it fitted nicely into the old fireplace. Did have a Philips hue strip in the chimney but had to swap it for a splash resistance one which just work on an rf remote.
The speakers sound great in that room, when the builders were putting up the stud wall I slipped in two back boxes for them to go into and that helps a lot. Will post more photos as I finish the rest of the house.
@badgersurf
I love the wood, the mortar, the bricks,- the entire setting.
But why would you destroy the theme using the cold, bland monochromatic light from leds ?
This place cries out for incandescent lighting and candles.
It is a Fireplace,- a torch ? - And you would be Rutger Hauer in: "flesh and blood" Imagine that!
Did you know, diamonds never sparkle in modern lighting?
Duels:@badgersurf. Very nice conversion. Love that tub in the fireplace.
After a long time was put together something of my inventory equipment :)My listening room into a temporary state.
Next year following the complete overhaul and tuning of acoustic space.
marexy:My listening room into a temporary state.
The next posters answered your question - they are indeed Grundig Audiorama 8000s. My father inherited them from a German friend and gave them to me. I still have the original brochure and receipt dated 23 Dec 1976, for DM1056. I cleaned them up a little but haven't touched the drivers or electronics, yet they still work very well.
I previously used them connected direct to the BC9500, as in this set up from three houses ago:
CB: marexy:My listening room into a temporary state. With all this stuff "into a temporary state", I think you can give us all lessons on how hiding cables! And as I understand, not everything is here...
There is approximately 30% of the B&O inventory.Cables are hidden under a black carpet.Here is meant AV room with projector and 7.1 surround sound.But I think I will stay only in the Audio Room.
"Man cave" room is approximately 45m2 area.
40 cm thick concrete walls, underground, windowless and soundproof doors.Yeah ... like a bunker ha ha

Perhaps we should have a new "flash your fridge" thread.

Very nice collection of speakers:)How you made the connection cables?Given that you do not have B & O main units.
Whether acoustic panels for sound deadening work out?
all the speakers has rc. to Pre out from AMP as RC to speakers... bno main unit ( Beovision or beosystem) can't do Dolby Atmos, DTS X so i went with Marantz AMP. the Acoustic panels are amazing. you hear more details from your speakers :) it s made in Portugal, company called vicoustics ... its not make the sound dead, its do trick the room as a good acoustic.

Question Yasin... What is that square underneath the BL14 and S8 Subwoofers? Is it a baffle to tighten up the base from the hardwood floor?
