Chris,

The Telenet decoder is strapped to the bottom of the stand...

All other cabling (switch, Apple TV, cabling for the Beolabs) is hidden behind the TV in a custom made cabling cabinet (painted in the colors of the wall) behind the BV... Will add aditional pictures next week...

Congrats Karel, I'm happy for you because I know you will enjoy even more your new tv than the old one.

I still remember like it was yesterday when you got your red BV3...

Congratulations Karel

All I have seen in the flesh is the fret on Friday in the city store

The rest of the BV14 is arriving and being set up on Monday

They kindly held the fret against a BV11 so I could get the idea Smile

Would you mind outlining why you chose the BV14 over the Horizon ?

You are the rare duck that hS seen both !

As I said in another thread.. What made me go for the BV14 was in part the image quality. The colours of the Horizon were not that vivid as the BV14.. the Horizon has no contrast glass in front of it... Other part was the design... The BV14 is in a league of it's own... The 48" Horizon would have been a format for my appartement but went for the better colours and design.. Even if it costed me a lot more than the 48" Horizon. Have no regrets whatsoever.

Also... the oak speaker cover... Timeless!!!!

I have seen both the Horizon and the Bv14.

The Horizon looked a little plastic and too deep frame but look nice on a wall.BUT the Bv 14 with wood fret is so give me.A fab looking tv.

I would definitely say so. BV11 has a good picture but BV14 is even better. Very crisp, detailed and very natural colors. Handles non 4K material very nicely.

Hi there!

My very first post on this forum; I was actually taking 'before' pictures of my set-up since I'll be replacing the TV with a Beovision 9000 I just bought over the internet - and when doing some research on it I stumbled upon this awesome thread!

Since I live in a very small space - hence the placement of the fridge right next to the Beovision - the wall-mounting capabilities of the Beosystem 4500 and Beovox 3000s proved to be very useful indeed. I'm quite happy with my Lenco L830 record player, so that will probably remain the only non-B&O audiovisual equipment for the foreseeable future.

If anyone's interested I'll post an after-picture with the Beovision 9000 as well!

Unboxing of the BS1

Included in the box:

- BS1

- power cord

There are no instructions and there is a link inside the box to bang-Olufsen/setupbs1 which is really good with videos and much more intuitive than a booklet.

Setup is very easy and straight forward.

I'm surprised how crisp the sound is.

I love how easy it is to use and to change sources it's a double tap. To even wake from standby turn the knob.

Is it a thermos?

The bag is a gift from Bally.

The Collins street store is the best service in Melbourne. Seriously.

They gave me this beautiful gift that I can use for whatever so I use for cables.

Thank you Beovox141 ! I'll be picking up my Beovision 9000 tomorrow and will take some pictures as soon as it's properly coordinated with al the other stuff -- let's just hope my back survives haltering 90kgs of solid Danish engineering up two very narrow and steep stairs...

PS: yes, it's the one with the fully mechanical tambour screen doors :)

Seeing the BS1 in the kitchen made me realise how suitable the grille-less and fret-less design would be in our new kitchen plan. The Beolit is less practical!

Beo Century ,Beoplay V1, Beocenter 6, Ex-Beolit 12, Beotime , A8. Beolit 15 , Form 2i , Beolab 2000, Beoplay A3.Beosound 1

Exactly!!

I have the feeling that a bs1 would look much more appropriate on a kitchen countertop... Big Smile

or maybe even replacing the A1 on the glass table would not be a bad idea...

I think you're right. A splash on the Beolit is not fun to cleanup.  And I wonder if the BS has the same need for space around it for accoustics ?

I bought this beautiful Beolab 4000 & BeoSound Ouvertyre combo yesterday, including a Beo4 and wall mounts. All in pristine condition and from the first and only owner. (S/N year 14xxx... on all of it).

Been listening to Elton John, Phil Collins and Jean Michel Jarre on it already and the sound is very clean and full. The midrange is especially detailed, surprisingly good. Highs are there too and sound very good. Bass is there but not dramatical, but surprises sometimes.

Now I'm just looking for table stands and trying to decide where to place it. I was planning on installing it in my work office but it might go into my home office instead. Or to the bedroom, or as surround speakers in my living room.

I now have a complete BeoSystem 5500 with C75 speakers at work, a BeoSound Century in my home office - plus a pair of CX100 for the computer. And BeoLab 8000s as rear speakers in my surround setup (they are better but another kind of style mainly).

Beolab 50, Beolab 8000 x 2, Beolab 4000 x 2,
BeoSound Core, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound Century,
BeoLit 15, BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay P2, BeoPlay H9 3rd Gen, BeoPlay H6, EarSet 3i,
BeoVision Eclipse Gen 2 55", BeoPlay V1-40,
BeoCom 6000 and so much else :)

I must admit this picture really caught my eye too. Fantastic example of classic B&O done really tastefully. Sometimes modern designers and enthusiasts go over the top with almost perfect minimalist designing; I have fallen into this trap myself. Whereas your setup looks both classic and authentic - it is what it is... and it's B&O. Very nice and thanks of posting. Enjoy...

B&O products are V1-32, BS2, H95, E8 and an Essence remote.
11-46 now replaced with Sony A90J 65”, Sony HT-A9, Sony UBP-X800M2 and Sony SRS-NS7.

Hi Janno, and welcome to the forum. Your setup is so warm and homely. When i saw it, it reminds me a litlle of the video B&O did showcasing Marco Evaristti https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FrBEgn0Qzz4

I think a BeoVision Horizon on a mobile stand would look great in your room with your eclectic style.

Thanks for the post :-)

For my review of the Beoplay A9 (in French), I made some pictures of my anniversary A9 on wall mount...

More to come as my house is not finished yet...

Hi mbee, i love the A9 on your wall.  I don't have any white walls in my house, but it looks beautiful. They did a great job with the frame on the 90th anniversary edition.

I was wondering could you mount it upside down to allow for easier control of the volume?

Impossible to mount it upside down, only the top of the wall bracket actually hangs something, as it's going inside the A9 handle.
