@ leosgonewildIt is a part of my X-tra Speaker kit. MCL X- Speaker kit transceiver sitsin the kitchen, so I give it an appropriate color.
Looks wonderful. The 4000 is SPECIAL and on my opinion, in its own league. Henry Royce said it best, "The good are the enemy of the best." Well the 4002/4004 are indeed very, very good, but you just landed the best. Enjoy!

Not at all as I appreciate your passion and commendable taste.
I "chased" my 4000 for about five years, found one in NJ and really had to fight for that opportunity. Seller insisted local on pick-up only, then wanted to talk on the phone to make sure "I was the right guy." (Never quite sure what that was all about, but that's how it unfolded.)
The seller assured me he knew how to pack the 4000..... didn't have a clue and it arrived shattered, the tonearm laying in the platter hole with the platter on top. Broken parts just everywhere and too boring to list.
Did manage to "save it" but it was help from Frede and Martin that really got the 4000 to the condition it is today. (To be absolutely fair, my prized 4000 is NOT in as good a condition as your 4000.)
As I am obsessed with these turntables I have a 4002, 4004, 8000, 1602, and 8002 in addition to the 4000.And I can tell you that hands down the 4000 is the BEST of the group.
The sound reproduction is amazing, but the experience is so much more with the pressure sensitive controls, the strobe, and the tonearm position indicator. (which is rather silly and redundant, but oh so "cool" in its own right.)
I know you will enjoy your long awaited find. Nice to hear that someone who really appreciates the 4000 for what it truly is, acquired one.
Cheers,
Mark:Wow wow wow Rickiefauster I really like your cabinet, I've always wanted todo similar so I can showoff my 9500 whilst also offering a practical bookshelf. Did you start off the design around the TV or modify to accept the TV? we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
Take10: We put the TV up first and then the carpenter built the bookshelves around it using a duvet to protect against the dreaded dust. The stand came through B&O, not sure of the make but I guess it's a standard issue. Extends and tilts but unfortunately not motorised. As an aside, these Ikea shelves are a good and inexpensive accompaniment to a wall mounted A9

Love your setup. Very clever!
Can you provide an overview shot where you have the A9?

Maybe so, but I have to say you have a pretty good head start on most people! Personally, I sure am impressed!

Hi Michael,
Nice photos thanks for sharing. How do you find the BL3 as a centre? You have a nice warm aesthetic. I think I see many of the same products in my house :-).
The BL3 works great as a center channel. Since I don't have a BVision, I wanted a speaker that would be as close to an LCR timber match as possible to the BL18s. I purchased the BL18s from Matt at Lifestyle, who I highly recommend to any forum members. After seeing my intended install, he recommended the BL3 since it has 3 drivers and an Acoustic Lens which is very similar to the BL18s. I'm quite impressed with all the speakers. I'm running a Sony ES AVR running the pre outs for LCR and using the built in rear channel amps to power the BVox 2-2s. The BVoxs are up pretty high on the wall, maybe 9 feet, so having the ability to angle them down is a real benefit.
Great
I know of others who use non beovisions to drive their beolabs. Its great to see the design difference of the BL3 as your centre. I mean even Bose used to do a vertical centre speaker too (from memory).
It probably makes sense to have the BVoxs up high, as they are rears anyway, it would be a nice look too i.e. "where is that sound coming from"
