Thought I better take a pic on my Beovision 8 before it gets upgraded.

A bit of a contrast in style to the TV room...

Two great rooms that look very easy to live in. What is the BV8 being replaced with?

Thanks.

Think I have done a deal on a Beovision 11. It is a bit less than he wanted for it but has sort of agreed a price that suits me.

BeoIce:

Lintronic is now offering a way to control the stand via remote without a B&O TV.

Really? I am interested. How can that be done? Sometimes I see people sell just Beolab 7-x and the stands separately and that would be a nice idea for a new TV perhaps.

This is the info from Lintronic's facebook page:

One of our dealers/installers has developed a small interface box that allows a non-Beo tv to rotate on a B&O tv-stand controlled by our TT455-RT-238. We will add pictures to the documentation when they are available.

VERY COOL! Thanks!

It raises some questions though. How do I power the stand? And how to connect it? I guess the wording panasonic is not interesting in itself, and that a Beo4 is requred or mapping of other remote buttons to trigger the stand?

With my Avant I can pre set stand positions but I guess it won't be possible with this solution, or maybe? And when turning of, have it return to the default position again. The stand is so cleverly designed that it even returns to default positions if the TV is maunally turned. I don't think this "smartness" is in the stand, probably in the TV firmware but it would imply that the stand can return data on its location at all times right?

I need to get a metal bracket made. I doubt this would pass a quality control. Even at B&O Stick out tongue

But for sure it would pass a quality control at IKEA Wink

We have two Ikea BEKVÄM step stools at home and we are using them for all possible "family use cases" but this one is really special Yes - thumbs up

Thanks and thanks Big Smile

The vases are by a company called Fidrio. I walked past a flower shop one day with my girlfriend and I saw one and i had to have it, so I asked if they had some more. They didn’t but i could custom order them, so I did on the spot. Then I asked if my girlfriend liked them Stick out tongue and she did a lot, so now we have another pair but smaller ones, around 8” tall. The big ones are about 2 feet tall, they’re all hand made so no two are the same in any dimension Big Smile

In options when I select download it only allows me to download a single file/photo. So I could use a little help here as well.

Thanks

The problem is - if you use the third method - that you can only upload one picture.

If you want to add more pictures, you will have to upload them to the site and then insert these from there (as in method 1 and 2).

At least rhat is how I have understood it.

Elephant,

Thanks, I'm a long time B&O enthusiast, my fascination is with their equipment from the 1990's. Since I was a kid I always wanted an Ouverture but couldn't afford the high price tag. I remember drooling over one on display in Harrods back in early 1990. Always fascinated by the automatic glass doors which slide open when your hand is near. I'm in my 40's now. Recently purchased a nice used Beosound 3000 in pristine condition (shown in the photos). Done lots of modifications too (including the DIY wood finish).

Marexy,

These things don't have a lot of value moneywise but it's so nice to use them (I'm referring to my system). My next project is to make a "full touchscreen" B&O hifi system built around a set of Beolab 6000 speakers. I'm halfway through it now; Trust me, it's gonna be straight out of Star Trek.

I am so looking forward to seeing that! I agree completely, sadly the gear has little monetary value, and I hate to see classic B&O get sent to the rubbish bin, so reuse is great.

Jeff I thought I was gonna get at least £500 for my system on Ebay. I was wrong; big time. So I thought - Its a lovely hifi to use, why don't I keep it? So I did, and I'm having fun.

New technology for our household Big Smile- DECT! After some 20 years with a BeoCom 1400, we now communicate with a couple of 6000s. I am very pleased with them, gave them both a reset and a new battery. At first the caller iD did not work: with some info from the forum and the web I was able to resolve using a dtmf-fsk converter. And it is of course really cool that the volume of the BeoMaster 6500 can be controlled with the phone!

Nice Michael. Is it in its final position or will it be wall mounted? Looks good as it is.

Nice matching of the remote and your MacBook.

I didn't think of this as a Christmas present so maybe i should await something on xmas day. lol.

When they delivered it, i was taking photos making sure that it was not laying on its' side, etc, which it wasn't.

They did ask if they wanted me to put it inside and it was easy enough to have it just on my doorstep for me to move.

Duels, I think , well i'm investigating having it on the wall which I'll try and keep as low as possible considering the height of the drawer unit.  The brass (if that was available) would have looked good too with that wood colour i believe.  I think i also want to paint that wall to the same colour as my door - it's a bit different.

Save for the little 2 feet that are yet to come, i also have the easel stand incase i move it to any other location.  Considering that i already have the holes in the walls and the cables snaked through from my trusty old Sony, it would make most sense to have the BV mounted, just need to find the stud to drill it in to.

This TV was easy enough to set up and install yourself, with another bloke for lifting, etc.

I'm happy enough with the fabric cover as it is a bedroom.

I really love the BV, the PQ is miles apart from my old Sony.  One thing is that the native Deezer app did not work, so i deleted it and found a replacement Deezer for Android TV on the google play store and installed that.  Works a treat.  Still no native Netflix will work on this version of TV so i'm using the Apple TV.  I would prefer native so i dont have to have another box, but it's fine.

For everyones info, standard in the box is the TV, the powercord, covers for the rear sides and a PUC cable.

I really like the OS , the menus are really quick and there is a bit more info in them.

The only thing i cant find how to do is to move the sources up and down (position wise) on the new BROne BT edition.  The BT edition of the remote is superior to the original BROne (you can use the BT with the Avant Gen 1 as it has IR) , i found it quicker (on the Avant) and i think that will be my next purchase.  Another module (BT one) for my exisitng BR One cover and so now i will have the same remote in two rooms.
