My thoughts exactly (poor lads struggling to find one for their systems), but than it's "flash your gear" hence it's remotely adequate Big Smile

This photo made me miss the 2-way Beolink 5000... :D They should re-release it with a transparent color display (transparent color displays do exist).

Couple of days ago I noted a pair of Beovox 2500 cubes on a local web-auction. The description was rather short and badly written and the only picture was from the internet. Anyway I decided to try my luck and happened to end as the only bidder - and won the item! I just picked up the speakers and they seem to be in a very good condition! Seller told he had tested them so they should work. As the cables are cut I need to open them anyway so I will measure all the elements to see if they are all Ok.

Awesome design! Both are "Type 6211 serie 13", serial numbers are 77696 and 77700.

Now I need to clean them and replace the cables. I think I'll build the adapter box (not going to have enough space for the original big-box Beovoxs) suggested by Frede in this thread on the old forum. Here is a fixed link to the schematic

Hi Mark, that was quite a verbal flash, but have you got any pictures? I'm sure plenty of people here would appreciate seeing such an epic setup!

Mdjolly1973:
How can i upload photos?

Approximately 3 ways - Soren published "some how to"s

  1. under "Description" and above this text input area there is a film strip icon near the smiley face icon this leads you to dialogue boxes that let you reference images you have uploaded into your avatar/ID media profile library - see Soren's WIKI => http://archivedforum2.beoworld.org/wikis/memberspages/post-uploaded-pics.aspx
  2. the same approach, the film strip icon, has a tab that lets you reference an URL from somewhere like FLICKR, Image Shack, etc
  3. the top of the input area for your post has three tabs "Compose", "Options", "Preview" - the second tab, "Options" leads you to an upload facility for placing a single picture from your PC directly into the post at the bottom of the text -- techniques 1 and 2 allow you to have multiple pictures in a single post

I use options 1 and 3 interchangeably -- basically 3 is a quick and dirty way to get a single image into a post -- whereas 1 allows you to build up a library of related images that you post into multiple threads

Others use 2 simply because they post their pictures to multiple places - and because those image hosting sites have proven to be more long lasting - every time the software that drives Beoworld has been changed we have ended up loosing people's picture libraries

Hi David the tv is mounted to the wall below the bay window, yes I have a speaker for sale,I had it listed by accident as a 7.2 but it is a 7.1.

The boxes are made of solid aluminium, the boxes on top are  linn klimax ds and klimax control, and in the cabinet is 2 klimax solo power amps, linked to custom gloss black akurate 242 speakers.and akurate sub.

I love B&o and never compare as they are to different markets,my main lounge has my B&o surround system, which I love. But for music listening linn is in a different league.I demoed the lab 5s which I was going to get as my dad has them, but listened to the linn system and it blows the lab 5s away, for musicality, but remember the linn speakers and amps cost £27000 which makes the lab 5s a bargain, and they are fantastic speakers for the money, but in my eyes the source makes a big difference and the klimax ds is one of the best in the world,it should be for £13000 though.

Alot of people say b&o is expensive and overpriced, when you get into high end hi-fi you can spend £20000 on cables which is absurd.

In the right setting lab 5s are a fantastic speaker as they have the amps already,You can make linn speakers activ aswell but costs a bomb for the activ cards and amplication.

the top of the tree for B&o ownership is lab 5s and a source for under £20k where as linns is £125000,big difference.I still love b&o the looks, ease of use and decent sound quality.but for true music listening I prefer linn. You cant go wrong with either brand.
