We did a redecoration of the living room and decided to exchange the M5 for an A9. What an upgrade! Also we went with the wall bracket. Guess why. And if anybody is wondering which cover is fitted on the A9 it is the SkiniPlay Dunvik cover. The A9 is the MKII Smoked Oak version with the golden bezel.

BeoVision Eclipse 55, BeoPlay S8 (sub+rears), BeoPlay A9 MKII (living room), BeoVision Avant 32 DVD (retro gaming, basement), BeoLab 4000 (entertainment room, basement), BeoSound 8 (workshop), 2x BeoPlay S3 (PC), BeoPlay A1, BeoPlay H2/H3 (on the go)

I, and even Moxxey have been saying for ages (years) that the A9 is the best bang for buck, if not performing speaker they have :-)

I love the A9 cover! Art or music system or both. Would the wall mount have anything to do with the high chair at the table on the right perhaps? Smile

I am also very pleased with the cover - and the performance of the A9. I never fell in love with the sound from the M5. And you are both right about the wall mount. My little son would hug it to pieces Laughing

HD1 M2 AEBT    vs    B&O  ?

I am at home listener. To my ears, everything wired sounds better (Beoplay H6,but original cable supplied with phones, immideately replaced by cable from Steve@SoundsHeavenly).Sound improved.

On the other hand,I love HD1 design (and bluetooth option). But,I prefer them wired as well.Sounds to me, little more bass detailed, and slightly brighter treble.comparing to H6.That's my personal impression. They are now difficult to find, and costly,Bought mine at ebay from US.

May i suggest Beoplay H6 for serious home listening, and Sennheiser HD1 on the move ? Smile

Last week i purchased a second hand BeoSound 4 in exceptional nick from one of our second hand sellers here in Victoria

It was a present for my dad, and I must say, it's a great little system.

It's actually better than i thought it was going to be.

Very easy to setup and because he's 71, it's perfect for him.  We have tried streaming and other boxes, etc, but for him, he wants to just see and press radio or CD.

I love the M3. If that was around when the a1 and a6 was around I would have bought 4 of those instead of the 2 a1s and the 1 A6 and had them dotted around the house.

You can use them with multiroom yeah ?

Great sound from a small speaker. Use the B&O app to play multiroom together with my Beosound 2.

I just got a pair of Beovox S45 up and running. I wanted to go with S45-2 but could not pass these, due to price.

Hooked them up and I am quite impressed. Is there a large difference between the different models?

One this I am wondering, I have seen quite some pictures of S45 with a little rist on the screws holding the speakers, is this common or a fault due to moisture during storage?

I have both the S45 and S45.2 and don’t really notice any difference in their sound performance. Some of the screws on mine are rusty too, so maybe that is common.

To M3 owners: I have an issue with mine and I’m looking after similar experience if any.

Issue: The default volume set by the app or through the web configuration page is not preserved when the M3 is restarted either by a power cycle, the power off/on button, the app soft restart or post software update.

Symptom: when the music starts after a product restart described above, the volume is abnormally high and a simple press on the volume button drops it to the configured value.

Beocare didn’t had an answer and is asking me to return the product for inspection. Before that, I’m looking for other experiences.

Merci !

Perfect match! I like that a lot seethroughyou.

Reminds of the idea of taking out the mechanics of a BeoCord 7000 and replace them with a tablet (like an ipad mini) to access a music library. Maybe it has been done already? I do not have the skills, but I can imagine it to be a useful mod.

I think an iPhone 5C or similar inserted in the tape compartment would do the same without dismantling the beocord. I use to put one in the tape compartment from my Ouverture and it did fit perfectly over the tape pegs, even allowing perfect doors operation. The only downside I found is that unless it still have iOS 7.XX, landscape mode is not supported anymore in music apps. You just need to find a long, angled charging cable and run it through the inside from the back to the tape drawer.

Hi matador43, that sounds a bit less a blasphemy :-). Useability will depend a bit on where the BeoCord is placed and the font size of the app I think. At the moment my master and cd pizza boxes are under the tv table.

But in some time I want to buy a replacement to the old LG plasma (and get rid of the horrible cable box and its remote). Maybe then I can stack the pizzaboxes again and get one for tapes. At the moment I connected an airport express to the master. Works fine too!

Our new Beolab 17s which we are using with an Eclipse. Very easy WISA setup, and impressive sound for such a small speaker. They’ll eventually become rear speakers supporting a pair of 18s and a 19.

Big Smile Where your devices are placed, even a bigger iPad screen will not make it easier for your (our) back(s).

I used Airport Express too, iScreens are just to command music sent to them!
