Hey

Apperently through the app it works

Homecinema set-up:

-Monitor: 82q950R - 8k 82 inch screen

- 5.1 surround set up: Front: Beolab 5, center: Beolab 7.1 rear: beolab 3

-Surroundprocessor and videoprocessor (for Kaleidescape Cinema One, Proximus Tv (settop box) and Oppo BD 93): Beosystem 3 MKII

- optical out from tv is connected to BS3 through a Converter to SP/Dif of the connection of the Apple Tv 4K (which is connected directly to the tv but sound (without delay) and control goed through B&O

- Music and radio: Beosound 5

Really happy with the result, turning on with the samsung remote and then choose b&o or apple tv.

Thanks. Really comfy chairs. Have em all over the house.

For the playroom we hesitated a long time between the Lounge chair an these EA 222. We found the more comfortable and less bombastic. The dark brown leather is also softer on the eye.

I have ruined my wall finish at least 4 times by spinning a lounge chair into those d*mn Tizio on floor-stands.  They're so top-heavy I'm going to buy some quoits and spray them black to toss around the column onto the base plate!  Just a slight adjustment on the lamp, say, for close reading (pipe & slippers brigade needs focal length adjustment and increase in lumens) -- and there the other end is, sticking out, ready for action.  You spin the chair ever-so-slightly and... ¡BLAM! the whole mess topples and the sharp edges and heavy counterweights leave long scratches all the way to the floor!  At least the lamp girders snap back together again; the lamps look good as new, seemingly innocent of their misdeeds.

Hahaha, I know the feeling very well. I had my hardwood floor repaired twice because of the counterweight making a huge mark when my then 6y old daughter was running around the place.  She should know better know...

The repair of the lamp was about 60€. Then I had the base filled up with dry concrete ("stabilisé") and have the powercord run inside the base instead of outside. Nevertheless still top heavy

I have another (siver limited edition) in my study. The 50W tends to run very hot.

Therefore in the home cinema I ordered the Flos Kelvin (LED) in black. Very pleased with it.

BL18s all wrapped up and ready to go. Moving house over the next couple of days. I’d forgotten how heavy the bases were on these things! (They are in front of the BL19.)

Been using my A1 extensively for the last couple of days in the open plan living area. Awesome little devil. It is normally is restricted to bedroom/bathroom/holiday use so it’s been nice to let rip......

I know what you mean Duels. When we moved the last time I had my BL8000s packed in the original boxes, one for the speakers, one for the bases. The box for the bases is a tiny cube that holds both of them. I remember the mover running over as if to snatch this small box up off the floor as he went by, and suddenly getting this WTH look as it stopped him in his tracks. One heavy small box.

Thank you very much. Yes I remember your experience and hope all is sorted for you now. I’m only moving about one mile so hopefully that reduces the risk!

I’m also moving all my B&O and other important stuff myself.

Joker does not cause violence, it shows why violence happens. Joaquin Phoenix should win the Oscar for best actor.

Thanks for the kind comments. Yes all went well with the move thank you. The removal guys were brilliant.

BL18/19 are now in place. The wires, especially those behind the (non B&O) TV, will be hidden when I’m happy everything is in the right place. Couple of pics of living room. Essence remote is on the coffee table.

Yes I’m very pleased with how the stuff has gone in. What is interesting is how the BL18s/19 sound here. The carpets make such a difference compared with the wooden floors I had before. Also as you can see from the pics part of the ceiling is lower as it is right into the pitch of the roof. In my previous place I had ceilings about three feet higher than “normal”. These two things combined have really made a noticeable improvement to the overall sound. And I thought it was extremely good before!

It’s like I’ve had a free speaker upgrade. (Well, perhaps not exactly free!)

Room acoustics, dimensions, ceiling height, sound absorbent material, etc. can make huge differences in sound, as you say. Glad the new place worked out better for you than the old one. My last house the living room was a rectangle, 2x1 ratio, and had a huge bass lift, the BL8000s sounded wonderful in there. New house, enormous living room, sunken, with elevated stages on each end with a high, vaulted ceiling. The BL8000s just got lost in it. So got BL9s which sound wonderful, moved the BL8000s into the dining/sunroom/kitchen area, which while also large works quite well for them.

I tend to like the look of hard surfaced, hard floored, minimalist modern rooms, but they aren't good for sound quality. I saw some show about different homes, they bragged that the living/kitchen/great room had I think 2 or 3 story ceilings, but even interviewing the woman who owned the place the echos were awful! Looked great, would be impossible to live in.
