After years of talking about it, I finally pulled the trigger and got myself a set of Beolab 9s. They are truly fantastic speakers.

I've connected them up to a Marantz AVR (SR5014). The screen is a 2019 Samsung Q90R. All is controlled through a BeoRemote One (using the openhab home automation system. You can read about it in another thread here on the forum).

The TV is to receive a wooden floor stand that I will have custom made. It'll look a little like the Loewe Bild 5. For now, it's on an old side table, trying out the positioning in front of the window.

I still have to do some more cable management, I'll order some cable socks later.

I'm loving them!

Thankfully people don’t move their TVs too often. All these years later even after LED, OLED, 4k, 8k, etc....The plasma picture is magical and mesmerising.

Just a humble pair of Beolab 8000s - 90s vintage.

I am driving a Rega Planar 2 through a 1980s Rotel RC850 preamp straight to my Beolabs. Does the job pretty well! And I also connect smart phones through the Rotel.

Great sound!

Love the vinyl display. Are those your top 20 albums or just those you like to display?

It is a sort of living wall ... the ones you can see keep changing so you dont get bored. My vinyl is roughly categorised by genre so I am not precious about keeping them in a certain order. The top 2 rows are only 1 record deep - so mainly display. The bottom 2 rows are about 30 deep for storage. I designed and made the whole thing myself  Smile

There is usually an empty slot where it says 'Now Playing' wher Bob Dylan is. I just pop the sleeve for the record I am playing over there.

My frist B&O setup. BC9500 & Beolabs Penta MK1. Restored and re-capped. Sound great and i love itSmile

I'm the second owner. Equipment was made in 1986 and it still works(had a lot of problems though).

Good looking towers. I think they might see a resurgence in popularity in coming years with a return to monochrome 80s aesthetics on the horizon.

After some weeks I felt like need some change. I replaced the B&O store 6 CD set by new visuals and more modern music…
Also had time to finish the custom made table stand.

Excellent combination in my eyes Mateusz! Do you run the Pentas and the CX speakers simultaneously?

I thought about that, but Penta are more than enough - I bought CX100 together with Beocenter, renovated them and then bought Penta. So for now, CX100 are awaiting for second set in bedroom 😉.

I just wanted to let you know that the "old" Eclipse Software is 99% compatible with the LG C9 together with the installed Bang & Olufsen App. Everything is working flawless. The only thing I haven't figured out right now, is how to store and use the Favorite buttons and also Home Control doesn't load the webpage of Beolink Gateway. Please ask me questions or if I shall try anything more!

Thanks for coming back on the subject.

This means that you just swapped the original C7 against the C9....nothing more?

Please keep us updated if you find solutions for the missing features - and if you find other ‘bugs’!

When you mention the installed B and O app, is that in the sound center or the LG? Did you have to install/add the app?

I do like the way you have used chunky cable covers and, rather than trying to hide them, made a feature by draping the excess around the speaker base. Look very good indeed.

Thank you, In the beginning I didn't know if the placement of the speaker was wide enough, therefore the longer cables. But I always you the more chunky cable covers to get a more robust feeling!

The Bang Olufsen App is available in the LG Content Store for newer LG models, not sure if even B9 or E9 can install the app. But I have verified that 55", 65" & 77" C9 can download and install the app.

Can you tell me what diameter or what make they are? I’ve just wired my BL18s and BL19 (as described on another thread) and those cable covers may well be of interest.

Desperate times need desperate measures. Probably the only rugby for 3,000 miles, and the Beoplay A2 active at least makes up for the tiny screenErm..

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

Yes but at least you are watching.

Went to the England Ireland match a couple of weeks ago and I’m gutted to be watching this game on 55 inches.
