I have always wanted to own a pair of B&O BL/18s and was lucky enough to pick up this superb pair of 90th Anniversary edition ones a few weeks ago, and last week the wall brackets arrived, I have only just put them up and connected all and I must say it does sound sublime and superior compared to the many other speakers I have owned in the past.
Thanks

Greetings from my new home office. Still a work in progress, but I have achieved the main goal of uniting my BeoLab 5000 and BeoMaster 5000 with my existing 3000-2 and 4000 to complete the set. Combined with my old projects like the BG1202 and my BeoVox 2500 homage this office is quickly turning into a B&O museum / lounge.
I found my BL5K + BM5K while living in Koeln, Germany. Sadly the other large bits of Beo I collected there did not make it home (BV10, BV8, BL8K) but I wasn't letting myself come home without at least a BL5K. It needs to see the workbench soon so I can convert its euro power cord to a US version before I can see how it sounds with the S45-2 (something I'm really looking forward to!).
At any rate, my Beo-bits and I are are all under the same roof again and my life can return to normal again. Maybe in the near future I will try to procure/build some floor stands for the BeoVoxes and make room for a BG4002 or my BC2300 (both of which are waiting for repairs in the other room).
Right now I have the S45-2s being driven by the 3000-2 and all I can say is WOW these things are incredible! I forgot how dense these things were!!
Beo4 'til I die!
Today I placed a Beolab 7.1 on a self made bracket to my wall (in centre underneath the LG C9 oled) and used the same 'speaker-cloth' on the grill, matching the Beolab 8000's.
All wires directly invisible into the wall, going to the Playmaker, hidden underneath the shelf.Very happy with the result.
Wow, perfect tuttivini!
I have always wanted a BL3500 or a BS35 for our bathroom, and the other day I found a relatively new BL3500 with SW version 3.1 (supporting a.aux) at a price of only 120 EUR.
An offer I could not say no to :-)

Verrrrrrry nice! A relaxing shower with some 'Ibiza lounge music' will never be the same again
I have exactly the same in my bathroom, connected to a Chromcast-Audio, which I placed 'inside' the Beolab 3500:
Hi,
How are you using them on daily basis? Do you use the powerlink hack with the remote or do you find any way of making them "fully" standalone?

I press Menu-04-GO on the BEO4 to activate the line-in (which is connected to the chromecast-audio, tucked away inside the bl3500).If I power off the bl3500 (with the BEO4) I have to press 'Menu-04-GO' again to activate the line-in... So sometimes I just leave the bl3500 on...Downside is it uses a little more power than standby (I guess) and you can hear a very little hum/hiss, like all active speakers/beolabs have if you listen very carefully (I have good ears). So not the 'best' option. A rca/powerlink input with auto sensing (like all other beolabs) would be nicer, but it works and looks and sound are excellent in the bathroom.

If you get a beolink Converter 1611 box, you connect the BL3500 to it via masterlink and you can connect the chromecast-audio to the aux of the 1611 and you then only need to press 1 button to start the BL3500 and also then lets you change the Bass, treble etc. setting which you can't with the cable option. Also you can make the volume go louder than the preset volume which you also can't do with the cable.
Hi Ben.
When you use that setup, do the converter need to have his own IR eye, or just the converter, an ML cable and the BL 3500 are enough? Can yo also comment on power consumption when stand-by ?
I toot have been always fascinated by the BL 3500/35 form factor but i dont want to setup silly things !
Thank you.

Hi Matador
No you don't need an IR sensor, the remote uses the BL3500 built in IR sensor. So you only need a ML cable between the Beolink 1611 and the BL3500.
I don't know what the power consumption is on standby. The BL3500 consumption will be the same but the I am not sure on the converter box.
Beoworld product page on the Beolink states the following:
Power consumption, operation 2.1 watts (230 V AC)Power consumption, stand-by < 1.5 watts (230 V AC)
Thank you Ben.
Thanks Ben. This is a good solution instead of going through the setup every time.
beolion:Thanks for the tip Ben. Just to be sure. In order for this to work, the BL3500 must support the a.aux command, correct? I assume that you select the a.aux when turning the BL3500. And does that require sw 3.1 in the BL3500?

Hi Beolion
Actually you don't have to have A.AUX. Mine works if I press A.TAPE on the Beo4.
I don't use A.AUX at all.
This is my wall mounted Beosound Stage / LG C9 55 inch in my summer house. I have been using this setup for a few weeks and I am very pleased with it. I installed the B&O app and have a BeoRemote One so this is the full B&O experience.
In my other home I have a BV-12NG. My most recent B&O purchase six years ago not counting the Stage. I am surprised how different the picture quality is. Not necessarily better, but different. I love my BV12 - it is very film-like. Soft and natural. The LG is very bright, sharp and in my opinion not very film like. Things that look like film on the BV12 look like it was shot with a video camera on the LG. But again, both are excellent TVs and I am sure the picture can be tweaked to accomodate my taste.
The wood burner is probably a little bit close. 50cm. Although safe from a fire hazard perspective, I will have to be carefull with that.
The wall was build with a skeleton, 12mm mdf and the acoustical panels. The panels are 12 mm felt and 10 mm panels of wood. I chose it not for acoustical reasons but because it seemed easy to cover the mdf this way. It was, although I only added the panels around the TV and soundbar. It took some fitting, but it was not too bad.
I almost have the same feeling as 25 years ago when I caught the BeoVirus. This TV has appeal like the MX 4000 I bought with beolink 5000 remote and motor stand. In today's money it probably around the same cost. This is a killer combo in my opinion.

Hi i can remember having the first A2 when it came out in the grey colour i loved the sound it produced, eventually the battery failed so i sent it to B&O under their "repair"! scheme i never got it back and had to accept a silver natural one instead as they wouldn't return my original, i was BL--dy furious! B&O's modern policy's often don't match expectations, which is such a shame but B&O seem not to give a damm somtimes about service.
My new floor stand for my TV is finally ready so it's time to flash my setup.
I designed the floor stand myself and had it custom made. It currently holds a samsung q90r, which has a oneconnect box hidden away.
No cable clutter, just a single lead which is hidden in the tiny gap between the floorboards and the sunken radiator. I really don't understand why other brands, especially B&O, haven't gone such hideaway boxes. (Well I do understand, it's because they don't do TVs anymore, but that's another topic..)
The stand is made from local European walnut (oiled) and holds a steel frame hiding the connector and ugly cutouts on the back of the samsung. The screen is slightly tilted back. The stand is designed in such way that all air vents on the bottom of the screen are free to breathe.
Small detail, I hid the center speaker in the sunken radiator too, right behind the TV. It's pointed upwards, not 100% ideal, but it sounds well enough. Voices are clear and come from the screen area.I finally found the time to clean up the cable mess too, a pair of cable socks does wonders.
I'm really pleased with the end result, it's everything I ever desired in a tv setup. Freestanding, clean, BeoLab 9s, state of the art picture quality, everything integrated (netflix, kodi, itunes, radio streaming, etc.) and controlled using a single stylish remote.
Beolit 12 - Beolab 4 pc (dead now) - Beoplay H5 - Beolab 9 - BeoRemote One BT - Beoplay M3
Nice....but how is the sound processed to create the Center speaker and the two L/R front Beolabs option.
And how does the remote (a BROne on the table) control that?
I think this looks stunning crossbytje, good idea! I like the tilt back as you can place the screen quite low then. Must sound good with the 9s! Regards, Johan
@RS4346, THAT looks amazing, nice colors too.
what is the distance between/outer side of the 20’s?
Despite the 20’s are that close to the center speakers, are you still able to hear/enjoy the front speakers?Im considering a similar setup in the future, only with a pair of beolab 9,
Millemissen: Nice....but how is the sound processed to create the Center speaker and the two L/R front Beolabs option. And how does the remote (a BROne on the table) control that?
Aha! All processing happens in a Marantz AVR which is tucked away together with the one connect box, a playstation, an older mac and an Odroid dedicated kodi media center (minicomputer). The remote is used in IR mode and I have a B&O IR eye connected to a home automation server (openhab) running on the mac. From there, any signal received is interpreted and translated into the right actions. Apart from controlling all audio/video sources, the server also automates lights/scenes (based on sunrise/set times etc.), can do presence detection based on whether my phone is on the wifi or not, and so on. It can do much more than what I'm using it for. (It's all open source and there's a large community constantly developing integrations with various devices and brands.)
Thanks for clarifying - that indeed,is far more than you have flashed in you pictures.
Nice job, but certainly not something for everyone.

Chris Townsend: My wife bought me one of these about 14 years ago and I made her take it back, which I now obviously regret. The flashing LED lights are worth it alone! I’ve got to admit that the clarity and strength of its output, puts my iPhone 11 and Airpod pros combination to shame. Came boxed with the A8s Considering another lockdown is on the cards, it can see some serious action soon.

Completely forgot I had this one too! Going to digg it up and see what this little UFO can do in 2020...
Karel.
I just bought a Beosound 4 with a pair of Beolab 4000 mk2 (the ones with ICE Power) very cheap. As you know, the 4000's with ICE are quite rare (even here in Denmark) -and usually quite expensive, compared to mk1. But not these ones
Just 2000 DKKr (approx. 300$ or 250£) for it all)
Here in "test-setup" in front of my Beosystem 9500:
^^ Looks good Steffen. I bought my BL4000 Mk2s new in Denmark when they were reduced 25% prior to being discontinued. I use them with my BC9500, thereby allowing its internal amp to supply my MCL link room.
(I see you also have the same OneRemote (International Receiver Company) receiver connected to your BC9500 - I used mine in the same way when I lived overseas, but am now back in UK using FM radio).
Wow looks great
Wow. Your setup looks great, Guy.
I use my BC 9500 with a pair of Beolab 4500. I guess I'll place my new equipment in my home-office or the bedroom.
I like the IRC DAB receiver (very B&O style) -sadly it's not the new DAB+, but I can still receive som Danish DAB channels (broadcasted in the old DAB appearently) on that -although I can not find those channels on the DAB tuner on the Beosound 4
