Congratulations Mr Anders son ! Yes - thumbs up

I see you have the BeoLab 14.

is it the 2.1 version or the 5.1 ?

And, you had a pair of BeoLab 8000 before ?

There isn't too much difference between these 2 loudspeakers ?

This is my Beocenter 9300 playing into a beautiful pair of S75's. Upstairs I have a Beogram 8000 connected to my old Pioneer SX-626 receiver which is powering my 1977 vintage AR-3a's.

Let's see if I can post the photos correctly. The top photo is my Beocenter 9300 powering the S75's in the second pic. The last one is my Beogram 8000 atop an old Pioneer SX-626 receiver which in turn powers my venerable old pair of AR-3a's in my upstairs office.

They work that way really 100% of the time.

1: get photos on your hard drive of choice

2: upload to photobucket. It's free and simple

3: once uploaded click on the get links tab in photo

4: Use the direct link for posting in most forums online. You only need to click it and it copies the link so you can page it.

That is all. Below my CDX rebuilt lefthinge by Medogsfat aka Chris UK and Dillen in 2008. It still works fine.

It's in the eye of the volume beholder ... I have Penta 3's and enjoy and sound and quirky skyscraper look but question if they fit in with the rooms decor.

But I'm loathed to sell them........

Note to one self do not read or post with a hangover......... Wrong thread !

Heres two pictures I took yesterday at home. The first is my livingroom/entrance/kitchen and I have a pair of Beolab Penta MK3 as backs and a pair of BL8000 as fronts with a 55" Samsung D8005 tv and a BS9000.

In the bedroom I just have a Beoplay V1-40 on a wall mount. I put a lot of effort in hiding the cables that runs to the back of the bed. I used a milling machine on the baseboards to hide the cables there. I still have the black cable-something from B&O running from the TV because I haven't decided if I should make a hole in the wall or put something up on the wall instead. The loose cable is HDMI for the PS3 that is just there temporarily.

I also have a Beovision Avant 32 DVD RF with another BS9000 in my living room and a pair of Beolab 8000 but I didn't get a good picture of it. There is a few B&O things in the first picture that I haven't mentioned. Easily spotted I think Big Smile

Update: Here is a combined picture of my cabling work for the V1. I used just one Cat5e cable for both the V1 and the Apple TV I keep inside it. Since both the V1 and Apple TV only uses 100Mbit it is unnecessary to have a full cable to each (only necessary for gigabit). Instead I just use four pins to each and I have the same cabling in the other end of the cable at my network central. That way I can use both units with just one cable. The wifi-antenna is still installed just in case.

Hi synth, only had the 3s for 2 weeks at the momeant they are  not where i would really like them but i have to take small steps ( compromise ).                 My room is not that big ,about 5x5 meters ,i can only at the moment compair to "taditional" speakers/amps, i think the 3s sound so good all through the range, i feel like i now have a subwhoofer as well .Only going up to 36 on overture read-out ( when neighbours are in) so they have a lot more to give,so if i could crank them up i have no fear they would deliver.                                                                                                                                                                             Sold all my old hi-fi now so no going back!

My living room setup - not the best photo admittedly but the light was challenging (that's my excuse anyway).

6000s holding up the rear. However this part of the room is not very B&O photogenic (lots of guitar cases and books) so this is all you're getting for now!

Hi Paul 00,

Actually that was a question I was going to ask - the room I have is 4m wide x 8m long and carpeted, but we only use the first part of it for viewing tv ( so the listening space is 4m x 4m in effect ) - do you think its necessary to get a subwoofer? I plan on mounting ther 3s up on the walls ( perhaps 1m below roof ) but wasnt sure as to whether that would mean subwoofer needed. I'm also interested in how your 3s are installed - table, wall or stand or roof?

We dont watch a lot of loud movies or loud music ( mostly jazz music ) so I was curious as to how they'd handle such music.

Thoughts welcome...

Hah, that's actually an interesting idea. Maybe I should get a Philips HUE Light Strip and wrap it around the Beolab 9's. It might look nice.

Hi synth,

Well here we go, at the moment my 3s are on a table on rings less than a meter apart (too close i know but not for too long,i hope!) 80cm from the floor, i had a demo at my local b&o dealer, the 3s there were about how you want yours up on a wall,my demo was mostly quite loud,(for my sins i like a lot of hard rock, but also lots of other stuff ,big ABBA fan!). The bass blew me away,i have been rediscovering my cds,to me they handle it all very well, just played some carpenters, roger waters and the eagles all a bit more mellow, sounds so good( i think i am sounding a bit sad, but i think getting in to b&o has been the best thing i have done for a very long time) .                                                                                                                                                                   Will try some  other placements when i got the chance,i  think even with my little experience they work with lots of music , no jazz in my racks sorry, but i look forward to hearing how you get on.
