Very nice!

Ceiling or wall connections 'snake' to follow?

Graham

Plan is to have electrician install an outlet in wall directly behind TV and run an HDMI and ir emitter into wall directly behind it and to the satellite box.

I was going to get a cable channel and mount in corner and paint to match wall. But contractor who did installation said it would be easy to add an outlet and run the HDMI/ir through the wall.

so I'm well aware of that my last set up looked much nicer (all Beo), but the thread is called "Flash your..." so here comes my current:

not all Beo I know, but there wasn't enough space or depth for a CRT in this apartment... but it still sounds nice. The right channel is not visible and reason for the TV stand thing is that there is a sliding door going in to the wall behind it, thus not allowing for anything to be screwed on to it.

The DVD in front of the speaker has a Beo connection, if you as me search for " Bang* " on auction sites and second hand sites to find your gear, this is the thing that represents most of the non Beo hits. Big Bang theory that is Big Smile

These are the pictures that Locutus is trying to post. You got to use the direct links for linking in forums such as Beoworld not the html ones.

By using the links provided I could see the direct links in photobucket so I have inserted your pictures for you. It looks good!

Yes clean design is just the best.  The best technology is hidden,  IMHO.Smile

I spent a lot of time recently wiring my parents house for Cat 5E ethernet and installed a gigabit switch and ran all the cables through the walls and up into the ceiling. We are only just receiving Cat 6A cabling in Australia.I was fortunate that the house had wood frames and drywall/gyprock walls so its easy to run cables. In european countries the hollow skirting board for any AV cabling is a great idea - you dont have to punch holes in walls.

As an aside, I understood that the new networking cable for B&O is Cat 7, and Cat 7 is quite heavy, bulky shielded cables, but handles 10GB networking ( which is fibre speeds ). Odd that B&O doesnt just use a single optic fibre instead of copper....oh well....The best thing about fibre is that its immune to electrical interference/elektrosmog.

Enjoying the winter olympics....love the super G...

Thank you very much Friedmett. See what happens when you try to do it from your mobile without your reading glasses? I may replace the old Pioneer receiver with a Beomaster 1900 or 2000 one day. I've got my eye on a few.

Changed my main setup a bit. Now consisting of a BM8000, BS6500 and BeoVox MS150.2.

The AV9000 and BL6000 aren't connected. I still have to decide if I'm going to keep it, as I don't really watch TV anymore, and I have two AV9000s already.

BeoLink 7000 stands right next to the door on its floorstand, ready to control almost everything in the room.

I like the text on the poster "Dreams by Bang & Olufsen". Fits very well over my bed.

The logo on one of the BL4500s.

The main setup. I'm on the hunt for a different furniture for the equipment to stand on as I don't like having the BM8000 on the floor. I've considered buying an Attyca 2 again, but I would maybe like to have something with a bit more storage space.

Thanks for the kinds comments, I appreciate it. Smile

What you see on the pictures is only about 1/5 of my collection. I could display more of it, but then it would start to look a bit too squeezed IMO.

Too bad the AV9000 was never launched in the USA. Maybe we should try to arrange shipment of a container with bunch of AV9000s. Big Smile

'the AV9000 never launched in the USA'

If my memory serves me well, the AV9000 was presented worldwide for the first time in the US - being the first complete setup with Dolby Surround.

Can't say if it was sold there afterwards - t that time B&O did not sell tv's in US.

You can often get the tv-part of it for free nowadays in Denmark - if you are willing to pick it up yourself.

Maybe launched wasn't the correct word to use. Smile

Could be that I got the AV9000 confused with the AV7000, that wasn't targeted to the European market. I just seemed to remember, that the AV7000 was made for the US market, because the didn't have the AV9000.

Yes, the AV7000 was definitely for the US market - can't remember it being sold in Denmark.

It was mainly a soundmachine/decoder, and they stopped making it as the AV9000 arrived.

Who has a working AV7000-unit to show in the thread?

The AV9000 arrived in 1992 according to BeoWorld... and the AV7000 in 1993... But at the same time the product specification page does also say: "The unit delivered Dolby Pro-Logic Surround Sound. The system comprised: Beosystem 7000, a Beovision MX6000 television and four active speakers. It was eventually phased out when Beosystem AV9000 was introduced." Could someone shed some light on this?

I have one and it's actually pictured above - the unit placed lowest on the Attyca. I have converted it to 240V, but it isn't fully working though, as I can't get it to turn my speakers on. A bit OT, but does anyone know where to find a service manual or have an idea what could be wrong?

BL 12-3:

Are your BL12.3 on stands ? Hard to see in the picture.

From my week end experience with 12.2s in two houses they really excelled on the wall.

I plan on a pair of these for rear speakers once I get a new BV sorted.

Love it or hate it, it's so different from the masses.

What about the sound if you can compare to a pair of BeoLab 3 ?
