Hi,
I just bought a used BS/BM5 combo from ebay. I'm loving it, but I have a couple of questions.
First, when I start the unit up I'm presented with a gray and black menu on the BS5 with options for N.MUSIC, N.RADIO, PHOTOS, or WEB. I have to use the keyboard I connected to the BM to select one of the modes and after that the BS displays the normal (and very slick, I might add) graphical display. Is that normal behavior or is there a way I can have the system boot up directly into the graphical display?
Second question. I have a passion for vintage speakers, and have quite a few pair, including some BeoVox's. I'd like to be able to connect them to the BM through my stereo amp. How can I accomplish that? I tried plugging a DIN to phono adapter into one of the Powerlink outputs with the other end connected to the input of my amp, but no luck. As a matter of fact, the SOUND option was missing from the maintenance menu with that setup. Once I plugged in a pair of BL6000's the SOUND option appeared and I got sound. Is there a converter that I could connect so I can continue to listen to my non-B&O speakers.
Thanks, looking forward to any advice you might be able to share.
