Is there any way to stop the Beolit 15 speaker putting itself to sleep?

It's frustrating to have to turn on the speaker whenever I want to play something through it!

Thanks in advance.

I think mine didn't go to sleep when I had it connected to wall outlet and chrome cast to the aux input. Not sure about it tho.

"You think we can slap some oak on this thing?"

I've got mine permanently plugged into the wall and connected to an Amazon Echo Dot, and sadly it's definitely turning off, which isn't really what i want.

Having to turn on the speaker kind of defeats the purpose of the Dot!

Isn't it also part of EU Regulations?

Maybe - but if it is, Amazon Echo and Google Home devices are breaching them.

Well, as they are always listening, they are never "idle", so do not have to turn off automatically. Makes sense?

It's not the same kind of device. However, aren't you concerned about companies having all the rights to store, analyze and listen to your in private house-discussions 24/7? I'm sure I would be very concerned.

I think Amazon Echo is the least of our worries there!

And bedsides, the device is going to do be listening whether the Beolit speaker is on or not.

So with that in mind, it would be ideal if I got to hear it, as well as it hearing me!

I carry around too much latent, low level paranoia to want an Echo or anything like it listening all the time. Big Brother.

I'm afraid I'm recovering from the BeoVirus. Sad
