I would like to connect my Beogram 6500 to my Yamaha RX-V367 receiver. The receiver does not have a phono input, but as many of you may know, the Beogram 6500 has a preamp inside, so it is "plug and play" and does not need a phono input. My plan is to connect it to an RCA audio input via DIN 7 to RCA adapter, but my question is this:

Do I need to find an adapter with a separate ground wire, or can I use a simpler adapter that only has left and right RCA?

Because my receiver does not have a phono input, it does not have a ground terminal.

Thank you for the help!!

I suggest that you contact Steve@soundsheavenly  who will be able to supply the required adapter at reasonable cost and post free.

See his advert at the bottom of each page of the forum.

This will work.  Find a screw going into the metal chassis of the receiver and attach the ground wire (necessary) to it.   You'll need to unscrew the 2 pins on the Beogram DIN cable shown in the photo.

The Beogram 6500 has it own built-in RIAA stage. The ground wire is of no use as it is hooked up to the line level inputs of the preamp. Unscrew the to additional pins of the DIN connector attache to the turntable and use a 5 pin DIN-to-double-RCA adapter.
