This is a question to the many B&O dealers on this board.

I'm seeing a few photos from customers who've received their BeoSound 1 in the brass colour. Is it now available and, more important, does any dealer have one in stock before the price rise this weekend?

Talking of stock levels, shame B&O couldn't add this functionality to the website as there's no easy way of finding out, unless you go around calling dealers!

Moxxey. Do you mean bs1 rather than bs2? I only ask because you said in an earlier thread you were interested in a bs2 and I wondered if this was a typo.

Ah, sorry for the confusion. The brass BS1 is/was for a photo shoot for our forthcoming website.

Had a listen to the BS2 compared to the BS1 at lunch and there's quite a big difference. But the BS1 has it's pros - it's smaller and more portable, as an example.

I believe in the UK that all dealers were sampled with one brass BeoSound 1, and I guess with the demand for all BeoSound 1 being so high, they will all be sold by now.

Just checked on the retail system and an order placed for brass edition today will arrive on 10th March.

I have 5 natural aluminium BeoSound 1 available for immediate delivery though 🙂

I can get the brass one fairly easily! One local store has a couple.

Excellent - they've done well to get two.

Picked up the BS1 in brass this morning (thanks B&O Bath).

Fairly impressed. Read quite a few reviews about the audio quality, but consider it's portable and the size of the unit (it's not much bigger than my old BS3), it performs a little better than I had expected. Pleased as I'm going to use it in a few 'cool' product shots this coming week.

Glad I picked it up before the price increase this coming weekend. £995 is the top end of what I'd pay for a device this size and any more expensive and it's moving in to A9 territory.

Excellent purchase. Although I thought you were banned from Bath?

Blocked on their social media. For that reason, I didn't go in to the store - ventured in there for the first time in 15 months yesterday. Had a good chat with their technical director.

Well that's good. Life's too short ......

And you now own a brass bs1.

Moxxey, congratulated with your Brass BS1. You are one of the first members, maybe the first.

Looking forward to see some pics of your photoshoot in this forum.

But, enjoy also the sound. I really love mine. It wakes me up with a smile on my face every morning (timer play).

If you take it for what it is (effectively a BS3-size speaker) it's excellent. The only caution I'd have, with the price increase, is that at £1100 you will expect more, for that money, especially if the A6 is going to get a price reduction!

It has a heavy pricetag, but the finish is excellent. Sometimes we have to pay more for B&O, than other brands.

Still it is a multiroom device, portable, sounds good (depends on placement) and looks good. The eye want also something. That's the price we pay for our beloved B&O. A higher pricetag is certainly not wished.
