Hi Everyone, I'm new the the forum. I'm trying to surprise my Dad by getting his record player up and running. He purchased it new in 1984 but it got damaged during a move over 15 years ago. The part that I need is the piece that holds the arm to the turntable. Attached is a photo. I would appreciate any help I can get. Thanks!

Model 5804

Serial Number 2830033

I'm pretty sure you'll need the whole tonearm assembly. I did a tonearm assembly transplant this summer on a BG 5000 that was damaged during shipping.

I had fun and did it for the learning experience and to save a Beogram but it was on a pretty rough table. Doable, but by the time you find a complete assembly for sale that you trust hasn't had the thin wires broken and the work to install it, and have it done right you're probably way better off buying a different working Beogram 5000.

They are great tables.
