Since i have had my Skq Installed i cannot watch sky channels on my projector

in order for me to watch ultra HD on my avant 55 i had to connect SKY Q directly into the Avant (4k Port) whereas previously all my s

ources were connected to an Atlona switcher which has 2 outputs

any suggestions ?

i am also having problem to get my Beoremote to control Sky

Your help and suggestions would be appreciated

Cannot help with the beemer but as for the control via Beoremote one you need to connect an IR blaster from the Tv to the Sky box and configure the TV to control sky. It's under setup and called a PUC control.

You need to download the skyQ puc

Thanks Seanie

I tried the Sky Q Puc but did not work it may be the IR is not working I have asked the dealer to have a look at it in the new year

He is also looking at stb brackets to connect my av equipment behind the avant but my problem is getting the projector setup as you kindly helped me with this setup on my BV7 MK3 which was lot easier

has anyone tried HDMI splitter so that i can split the sky q connection so that one goes into a matrix and the other to the tv

Hello

A splitter might be a good idea as I had one with my BV740 few years ago so I could send to my link room.

Check your skyQ PUC cable is connected to the right port on the TV the same one you have configured for example if you have configured port A then make sure the IR blaster is connected to port A

I'm assuming your projector is 1080p rather than 4k?

In theory, you'd need a UHD/4k HDCP 2.2 capable splitter, one output would connect directly to the Avant, and the other output would then need to be routed through a 4k to 1080p downscaler on it's way to the projector, but I haven't looked recently to see if anyone is yet manufacturing downscalers that will fulfil this role.

Martin.

I had very similar problem you need to split / downgrade the signal to 1080p for the PJ, i used the bluestream 4k to 1080p splitter to run sky q to differing screens one was capable of 4k the other 1080p, a right PIA to set up but worked eventually ........

I have mine on a HDMI splitter. Works fairly well. There's a slightly quality drop, there's a minor sync issue between the two TVs, but on the whole it works well as a) I have a single box controlling two TVs in separate rooms and b) both remotes control the same box content, rather than trying to use two separate boxes with separate recordings etc. ie. I can show the same thing in both rooms at the same time.

The downside, apart from a slight reduction in picture quality is, of course, it's never going to be 4K as it's a regular HDMI.

I just thought why don't you just connect a skyQ mini box to the projector it is already in 1080. You could split the IR to both boxes or control it on a differentAV port

sky mini box are in bedrooms and i dont think there is any spare hdmi ports

is it possible to connect the splitter into a matrix switcher so that one connection is in the matrix and the other to the avant or would i have to consider a 4x2 matrix which has 4k resolution

my objective is to watch sky PS4 blu ray apple tv or amazon fire tv on the PJ
