Hi guys Happy New Year,

I'm new  on beoworld forum,

I have a problem with  beosound 9000 mk1 cd start spin( to my opinion slower than a regular) and after 5 Seconds stpo an go in reverse spin very fast after that Stop and on display  write pause. That's happened on all CD slots.

I Download service manual and do testing, test 27 show me CD error 3 that's mean tadial error, second error is a APS error 15.

I'm familiar with electronics and I go through service manual and I open, clean everything and nothing change. I have functional MK2 CD player and these two CD players have  same CD mechanisms but different connection, and I cannot use CDM from MK2 to MK1, but I test CD plate(display) and he's fine.

Anyone has experience with these errors.

Thank you in advance

Dragan.

99% laser pick up is faulty.

If you heve BS 9000 MK1   /  2521....2526 typ  /  and CDM 12.6 typ of laser  /  then you have 20% chance of repair in chep way.

If you have CDM 12.4 than you can repair it cheap way with 15usd laser from Ebay.

This is my experience .
If anyone has a better opinion of repair version MK1 with Laser CDM 12.6 please to share the experience of successful repair.

I have had exactly the same problem with my 9000, but it started when I started using "home burnt" CDs.

I have stopped doing that and I now only play my original bought CDs. However, I had to (VERY carefully) clean the laser head (the little glass bubble in the moving part with a small swab that was wet with ethanol/methylated spirit. But again, be very careful.

Now it has worked for years, but I have to play a CD weekly to keep it in good shape
