Has someone tried both H9 and H8 and could compare them in some way? There's almost no reviews online yet and I really don't know what to do. I need ANC for travelling etc so it's an important feature to me. I have tried H8 so I know how they perform. So if someone has both I would love to hear some advice. Basically I want to know which has better ANC, sound quality (I know this is very subjective but I'd love to hear your opinion) and if the weight of H9 bothers you or not etc.

I own a pair of H8's and have been considering buying a pair of H9's so recently auditioned them in store.
My feeling was that H9's ANC seemed very similar in performance to the H8's ANC but:
1. There appeared to be less of a change in the tonal qualities of the sound between ANC on and ANC off using the H9's when compared to the H8's.
2. The over ear design of the H9's improves passive isolation against external noise even with ANC turned off which may just give them the edge in a noisy environment.
I also find the over-ear design more comfortable, but that is really just personal preference.
The end result was that I gave my H8s to my brother for Christmas, and will now be buying myself a pair of H9s :)

I got the H9 (+ a new A1) from my wife for Christmas :-) ! I've got the H8 from before (had some drop-out issues with these, but the latest H8 exemplar I got through the warranty works perfectly).
I think the H9 has even better sound quality than the H8. But the H8 have sligthly better ANC, I think. The sound in the H9 is just amazing; details, balance - studio quality, I think. The H9 are much more comfortable to wear than the H8.
