Since a few of us have got access to the beta software for 2.x I thought it would make sense to gather views and findings in a separate thread.
Could be good to see whats coming for the exiting users.
I will check with B&O if they are okay with this. If not I will have the thread removed.
Current Beta versions out is 2.0.61 and 2.0.62 as I understood.
A view of 2.0.50 can be found here:

I can add that I am running 2.0.61 on the Moment towards my Synology NAS using the built in DLNA Media Server.
As far as I have tested, it works just fine. Could be that the dependence on Twonky have been relaxed.
Thanks Hiort
To be precise, Jukebox is currently running 2.0.61 and SoundHeart 2.0.444
I'm using Twonky on QNAP and I'll test QNAP DLNA Server in a second phase.

#Deezer
My Deezer collection processing had:
3042 artists10066 albums157332 tracks8 playlists
Where I only have 25 favorite artists set in Deezer.
I hardly explain where the 3042 are coming from, even if they are collected from the Compliation album I may have in Deezer, this number (and the others) are too high IMO with the exception of the playlist number which is accurate.
What are you seeing on your side?

Hiort:I'm not sure where to find that information.
In the configuration mode, the first item is now "Notifications". You may see among the latest notification items something about your Deezer collection processing.
I give my dealer a call to enter my credentials also for the beta

#MoodWheel
I noticed that while playing tracks through the MoodWheel, the active track is not refreshed in the Playing Queue list screen, instead the first track of the chain stays highlighted. Using the JukeBox wheel to move tracks forward or backward does not change the screen update either and the very first track is still displayed as being the track currently played.
Note: The MoodWheel screen displays the correct artist/track being played on the upper left corner.
This behavior does not exist when playing tracks from the collection screen.
Can you confirm this behavior pls?

Hiort:Played around quite a lot with the MoodWheel, and it works really really well now. Before it could stop playing after only a few songs, even if I knew there should be plenty to play.
Hi Hiort,
Are you referring to Deezer content only, mixed or DLNA with the Moodwheel?
It looks very very promising.

#TuneIn
Can someone verify if newly added radio leveraging TuneIn Web UI or IOS app appear on the Moment?
I have added two through the Web UI, move them at the top of the list and the Moment does not reflect the change.
If I heart a radio in the search screen of the Moment, then the radio is properly added.
Guys, great to see some action around beta testing. Looking forward to the updates. Hope B&O will fix all issues you guys find before the real update comes out.

Norwin

I'm actually waiting buying a Beosound 1 and Beoplay M5 till software issues with my Moment and the Beoplay app on Android are fixed.
I guess the number comes from your NAS, as I think it's a combined numer, and if you have Collection album, there might be many artists.
I just tried it out, added a station on the app, then it didn' appear in the list on the Moment, but the I started the last radio station in the list on the Moment, the it was added there.
If you press once in the middle of the Wheel on the Jukebox the music pauses, correct?
If you then change the volume on the Wheel, what are the limits you see?
On my Moment, it goes from full volume to 14 (not 0 as expected). Is that a feature or a bug?
If it is a feature, can someone tell me the idea about the feature?
It is a feature. When there is nothing playing volume regulation is limited so that you can neither turn the volume down to inaudible levels, or up to "acoustic shock" levels.

TuneIn radios I added through the Web UI are now visible on the Moment, I was used to faster refreshes .... Or I'm becoming less patient :-)
Can anybody check if switching off dhcp and set fixed IPs over works now? I never got that working properly....

Seems to work better. Before only the SoundHeart was keeping its static IP, now the JukeBox keeps it too, including after several power off/on.
I'll keep an eye on this during my tests

Hi Lyle,
welcome to Beoworld.
And thanks for chiming in.
Looking forward to more inputs - if/when you have some spare time ;-)
May the 'troubles' of the Moment users help you to improve the handling of this BS.

Hmm, I never had any problem with keeping a static adress. I have giving it a DHCP reservation in my Ubiquiti router.
Hi Lyle, welcome.
Chris:DHCP reservation
Static IP and static DHCP are two different things,
What we are talking about is coding the IP address of both the SoundHeart and the JukeBox in the BS Moment Network configuration instead of DHCP
mbolo01: Chris:DHCP reservation Static IP and static DHCP are two different things,
I have commented to fast and it becomes a misunderstanding, my apologies.
What I want to say is that at first I have giving both a static IP and realized after a while to better keep my static IPs for printer and servers. So I went for a DHCP reservation later. But I had really no problem to keep my static IPs on the sound hub and jukebox.
Chris:I have commented to fast and it becomes a misunderstanding, my apologies.
np Chris.
I confirm that on my side I had issue keeping the static for the JukeBox, and I gave up at some point. Maybe it was fixed in one of the latest update after I stopped assigning fixed IP, that said it works fine with V2 Beta
An observation:
The swapping between screens have changed. Used to be a "carousel" where you endlessly could swipe between screens.
Now there are 4 "fixed screens": mood wheel screen, "playlist" screen, content screen and search screen. You reach them by swiping either up or down depending on what screen you go from. When you have come to e.g the search screen you have reach the end. You then have to swipe your way back again.
I think that works well.
However, one small thing that is a bit annoying, in my mind, is that when you come to the search screen and the keyboard is up, you have to tap outside the keyboard to make it disappear in order to be able to swipe back to the screen before. Not so intuitive. I have no real idea how to solve it differently, other than being able to swipe from the screen even if the keyboard is up.

I have now entered the BETA program also. What a lot of information in the new 'Reports' screen now.
Giving you the information about Loading Deezer tracks TuneIn, battery, DLNA.... its really informative.
Chris:I have now entered the BETA program also.
How can we become a part of the beta programme?
Thanks
dueno:I just ask to beocare and they say: we do not offer this possibility. ??????
