Mentioned it to B&O. They are aware of the harvesting problem and are working on it.

Beroli:We all know that support for Twonky is being removed from more and more devices. Synology started years ago, QNAP followed now. Therefore we need a proper DLNA-NAS-setup-manual, if we don't like to have a separate server running and wasting energy.
I helped Sal to setup a Twonky Docker container on QNAP (I learned how to do it at the same time), and I think it will be the solution I'll adopt when QNAP update drops Twonky. Native QNAP DLNA serve solution or Synology's one are no as efficient as Twonky to my point of view.

Chris:I place all my playlists in the root music directory (.../Music/... ) together, noticed that when I copy the playlist in the actual genre directory, it gets difficult for the Moment to find all content of the list.
One caveat is that the Moment applies its own sorting to the playlist instead of preserving the original one, I reported the issue to B&O

I experienced the same, it seems that it is a problem with the cache. When you scrolll trough your artist-tiles you will see that the "Enriching your DNLA Collection"-process is moving on. Still it needs more time - but in my experience we will have much more artist-tiles than with the Version 1. Everytime I scroll trough my collection, I see, that more and more artist covers are added. The duration of the harvesting process is strongly depending on the amount of tracks you have in your own collection. Even with the current official version the harvesting process needed days, if your database is big.
Dear Chris, thank you for the example of your playlist. I willl compare the playlist with my own, maybe I can see some light.
Cheers Beroli

Yes, that's right. I have done a reset of my BS Moment do solve the enrichment-problem and now the harvesting process is frozen at 11%.

Try scrolling trough your artists and you will see the harvesting process will continue. While you scroll, the Information "processing your DLNA collection" will vanish and continues when you stop scrolling. I don't know, if this is a feature. It would make sence, if the harvesting would stop without interfering while you use the device. It seems to me, that the Harvesting process is more sophisticated ( e.g. more artist tiles)
BtW, I do like the new feature, that you see all covers from every album you own at once, when you choose a artist, without swiping trough every title on the screen like a crazy person, until you get to album you want to listen to.

If you have the time to do so, it would be great if you could document the process you followed. I'm sure this would be useful for others now that QNAP are dropping support for Twonky in the new firmware.

Think that this thread should provide what is needed to quickly setup twonky within a QNAP unit using ContainerStation.
Hello, I read here from the new software. When will this be provided to the customers in Germany for the update?

Love also the standby feature, especially when your speakers are connected to a Beovision as mine. Now when the standby text pops-up the Moment goes to standby and immediate the Beovision also.
On the older software it took about 10 minutes before the Beovision went to standby.
I have not found any problems in the latest update apart from the harvesting, but they working on a solution.

I have Problems with this function. With the new Firmware the Stand-by doesn't work for me anymore. I have an Avant 55 connected to the Beosound Moment. The Speakers are all connected to the Avant 55.
When I Switch the System in Stand-by mode, the System goes to stand by, but the TV doesn't Change the Position. It Switches off in the upright Position. The Avant has a table Stand. Mabye the is no command for the table-Stand.

Have you restarted the Moment and the Avant? At first the standby function was not working, but after disconnecting en connecting again to the power it worked with my V1.
Reporting to B&O about the stand function?
Yes, I have restarted it but no Change.
I don't have an email-adress to Report it to B&O. Maybe it is a Problem with the Table Stand.
I found another Problem with the essence remote. The remote doesn't work anymore, if you have connected the Speakers to the TV. It seems, that the remote sensor of the BS Moment is deactivated in this case.

In this setup the BS Moment receives no commands anymore - all is going to (and through) the BV.
To use the 'Wheely', you will have to put it into an ir-mode, since the Avant/2014 has no bluetooth receiver built-in.

There is a tv - and there is a BV
Hi MircoHH,
I own some Essence Mk2. It is the same experience - if I press the standby-button for a while everything is shutting down - even the Avant (sadly in the upright position, with the speakers still extracted). The Avant is sitting on the TableStand as well. It seems that this is no bug - if the new function introduced with the previous beta-update works the same way.
All tough I would appreciate, that the Avant would shut down properly. This way is looks like someone pulled the powerplug on the Avant - therefore less Magic. Regarding the new standby function on the Moment. Sometimes it seems not work at the first touch. Maybe my hand is not steady enough to recognize a long touch in the middle
Btw: A new SW-Version JB 2.0.65.3358 was uploaded today.

I would not definitely call it a bug.
Some times something is simply forgotten - would not be the first time ;-(
Or rather something is set aside for a next update.
In this case there might be a reason for the behaviour (and for not changing it).
You can turn off the system from a remote destination/another room, right.
Maybe they just wanted to avoid anything happening when you can not observe the tv.
Whether it might be possible to differenciate between shutting off, when you do it from the Moment located in the same room, or from a remote position, I don't know - but I doubt it.
From memory there was something similar with my old Avant, when the source was turned off from a linkroom.
But that is far ago maybe someone else still remember that.
P.S. Any news in the new sw?
After updating, the new software 2.0.65 brought us:
-A better and newer search function, by swiping from above to beneath in the mean screen. And very important to me, it also counts for the DLNA collection.
-Carrousel navigation of 3 mean screens.
-Battery life bettered.
Let's try the new search functionality.
Chris - What's new is that we can see your pseudo under the "Beoworld on Deezer" playlist you created a while ago :-)
"All tough I would appreciate, that the Avant would shut down properly. This way is looks like someone pulled the powerplug on the Avant - therefore less Magic. "
Hi Beroli,
this is the problem and this can't be a normal function. It is impossible to put the TV Set in Standby Position without switching it on and off.
Hopefully this is a bug or not final programmed in this firmware.
Greetings,
Mirco

Really? Nice feature!
I can't see it on the Moment, but I see pseudo's on other playlists.
All credit for this playlist goes to LeoGoWild, who original made it on Spotify.
Hi.
After the latest update my jukebox stop working. It didn't start after a reboot, so now it's all black..
Someone who has an idea what i should do?

An update:
After just 5 minutes i received an email from the Bang Olufsen team who is now looking into the problem. Excellent work, and i can really see how things is changing for the better in the B&O world
Got Beta SW last Friday. Must say that I see a lot of improvements. Only issue is the "harvesting". The Moment is already since Friday afternoon harvesting my DLNA collection (Twonky server). I got the message on the display that it is harversting and sometimes "building" or assemble (I have the language in dutch, so its my translation). My music database is 160gig, wth approx 20.000 songs. Is it normal that it takes so long?

They are working on the harvesting problem. When I add new albums to the server I do a rebuild of the database, even in the middle when it hangs. Best you could do is again a database rebuild.

Chris:Best you could do is again a database rebuild.
Ok, so 160 gig of music (approx 20.000 tracks) seems to be normal that it will take a couple of days work? I do see on a certain moment a sign that the whole DLNA content has been harvested (with the message that it may take some time to see the covers in the tiles, but then the message in the right corner shows up agaian that it is harvesting again. When I take off the rear cover, I see a percentage of harvesting again.
I must say that the Moodwheel and search function are working well. Only annoying is the "DLNA harvesting" message in the right under corner.
Michel
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
Thnx, then I need to have some more patience....
Hi,
I have 20.000 songs in my library and "harvesting" works fine since the last update. I have no problems with the beosound moment anymore.
Only a few things, that I don't like.
1.) The Standby-feature with an Beovision Avant using the table-stand. It is very unattractive, that the Avant stays in operation mode, when you use the standby function. It looks, like you have pulled out the power cord. The Beosound Moment stands 2 meter beside the TV. So I would like to decide, what the TV should to.
2.) When you use the wonderful new search function and you find an album. It is not possible to see the tracks of this album. You can only play the full album. My desired function is: Double Tap to play the album, single tab so open the album an to see the tracks.
3.) When you play music, the Tablet displays the last screen. It would be great, if the screen would change after a few minutes to the "play" screen with the title an the artist picture.
These are the only thing to improve for me. Thank you B&O for this great job! Now the BS Moment is usable.
Ok. How long did it took to harvest your collection of 20.000 songs. Is a bit like my collection, although I don't know if the data is the same.
I do have the latest SW too. Just wanna get rid of the message in the right under corner. Annoys me....
Just joined the club.
The sw installed automatically today. Even the harvest is complete (Beotool). It seems to be complete: total 19108 tracks.
It's not a stepp forward but a leap...........
And it even works without Twonky
Downloaded Betook. All service status are ok. At DLNA status it says Harvest done. But I still have the message in the right under corner, where is says " verwerken" This is Dutch for digest I think. Is this different than harvest?
Again, Sometimes `I see at the announcements pages that "verwerken" (digesting) is ready and that you can scroll through the library, but after a while I see "digesting your DLNA library again.

Harvesting was only a few hours. The next step "Enrichment" was much longer. But after that, everything was fine.
Hi Athos,
harvesting = "oogsten", in this case "verwerken"
Thnx. Changed language of the Moment in English, to keep the discussion universal. I Reset the Moment and use my Synology (with Mediaserver running) as source for my own collection. Started with only 12 gig of music on it. Harvesting was done in a minute, and processing the DLNA collection now only took about 30 minutes. I think there is somewhere in the database of Twonky something wrong, which causes a sort of loop.
I will now add another map to my Synology shared music folder, to see what will happen. This time around 40 gig. Maybe 160 gig once is too much for the Moment to process.
athos:Started with only 12 gig of music on it.
You are right. I changed from Twonky to music on my Synology and start with adding maps of around 40gig max. The harvesting goes quick now and the processing tooks a couple of hours. The message in the right down corner disappeared and everthing is working ok now. Tonight I will add my top 1000 album collection (100 gig of mp3) to see if the Moment can cope with that.
Another question. I have the Moment connected to my Beoplay V1 (on which my speakers are connected). With the new SW I found that when I put on the TV, the display of the Moment also goes on and displays TV-TV.
Ofcourse it is right, but actually I don't want the display of the Moment to light up. Is this a standard?

No it is not usual that this happens. I have the same problem or fault, an equal fault case appeared also in the first official softwares releases some two years ago.
Besides the above you mentioned it happens also with me when I change a track or radiostation on a ML device connected to the NL/ML converter, the V1 television changes stations and the music on the Moment not.
I reported the problem today to the R&D team at B&O.
