Carolpa:

So I have a setup with the Moment connected to a BV11 sharing the speakers of the BV11, I can not listen to Spotify Connect on my BV11 (note: the info is shown on the BV11 as on Hiort' s picture)

the song "Coldblooded" is playing on Spotify Connect to an Essence (not on this picture). The BV11/Moment tries to connect but isn't capable for the moment.

What is it that the pic of Hiort's tv show, then?

You cannot play over speakers connected to e.g a BV11 yet. That functionality will be added in coming release, according to info I´ve received. I just wanted to show what it looks like on the screen.

That should answer my question, thanks!

No hurry - it must not be like that as of today (with the official sw release).

As long as I know what will (or may) come, I am fine.

P.S. Maybe Lyle 'knows' a bit more ;-)))

Hiort:

No, not just that!

The Essence can be set up to use the tv/speakers just like the Moment can (integrated setup).

If - yes if - you can play from Spotify (using the beta-supported Connect feature) to the Moment integrated with your BV (as seen in the pic),

this might be possible using the Essence in the same way.

Or did I miss/misunderstood something?

On the other hand - with an update for Spotify Connect of the BV's (if possible?), it would be possible just to join in there, just like you can on the A6 etc.

Hi,

Is anyone else experiencing the moment doing a full harvest scan every day?

it means that I loose the option to choose my music on the NAS  and the only option is deezer albums.

I have my music on a qnap with minimserver.

I have tried several factory resets, any ideas as this is leaving the moment useless for me!

Since the beoworlders now have different sw versions on their Moment, it might be helpfull to mention the version number, when telling about or asking about the functions etc.

Just an idea!

Lyle Clarke:

We are considering Spotify Connect feature (at the same level of integration that is on the rest of our portfolio) and therefore it is on some beta devices for testing.

Please PLEASE PLEASE include Spotify Connect on the Moment! It would make the thing immensely more useful - I think this is the only product in the range that doesn't support Spotify Connect, which is weird since this is a halo product?

Anyway, even very basic support for Spotify Connect would really transform the Moment into something infinitely better. PLEASE

(How do I get that beta???)

I have no good experience with Minimserver, Tried several but always coming back to Twonky. Maybe it works better on a NAS but certainly not from server gear.

I have several times a day the Moment harvesting, but without any problem with music.

Just installed the new SW update, checking out tomorrow how stability works.

opposite experience. In the end I stop using Twonky (the later is OK, the first is better)

Minimserver more stable, more functionalities; for example DSF is transcoded to PCM during streaming.

"Null" have disappeared from the radio station tiles after latest update. Moment now support Tunein folders.

You organize your stations when logged in on Tunein webpage.

If the BeoSound Moment where to get Spotify Connect, I would seriously consider swapping my BS5 for one.

Same here! Would the mood wheel still work with spotify? I have the impression it is closely integrated with Deezer.

What is being considered is 'Spotify Connect' where the whole experience is controlled by the Spotify app on your mobile device. Moment is simply a 'speaker'. For the MoodWheel functionality Deezer is required.

Slightly different angle on the same topic: Is Apple Music also being considered? That has been a long time wish of mine. As far as I know, the only device/client to use Apple Music today, other than the native Apple Music apps, is Sonos. But that at least proves that it is possible, and that Apple allows use by third parties.

+1 for Apple Music.  I use iTunes to manage my library which gets synced automatically to the cloud.  If the Moment supported Apple Music I wouldn't need to have Twonky running on my Mac, or even have it switched on.  Bonus points for being able to have Apple Music replace Deezer too.

That would ok so!

And it would widen the acceptance of the BS Moment, I am sure.

Of course Deezer wil remain fundamental.

After all this is - and should stay - a Mood and PatternPlay device, and for now Deezer is the only way to integrate a music service with it and in a multiroom/NL setup.

PeterBOBP:

Here is what I found so far:

  • “null”  and numbers shown with radio stations pictures / tiles (i guess that is what you are referring to)
  • quite of lot of Deezer genre pictures not shown in the Radio section
  • If you “like” a song (swiping) on the Moodwheel display, you do not get the message “I like” (as you get in the now playing screen). This message used to be there but with the 2.x release has disappeared.

release 2.1.89 etc

null issue: resolved

"like" not shown in mood wheel screen: resolved

numbers / no genre pictures in Radio action: not resolved.

@Lyle - not sure if this is connected, but yesterday the panel just went black - not able to charge it. Not on the beta s/w. Any recommendations?

Hi Roger,

I have had the same problem. My Jukebox went black and won't start again. I have given it to my dealer and the dealer send it to B&O. Today my dealer called me, that I have to bring in the Soundheard too. :-( They have to send it to B&O too. Seems to be a bigger problem.

Thanks for sharing Mirco - there is some comfort in the fact that I´m not alone, but this doesn´t sound too promising. I sent my serial no to Lyle so his team can have a closer look, but I´m afraid that your post shows what to expect.

I encounter some strange behaviour of the Moment and the Horizon. Not sure what causes the problem, so I give it a try in this threat also.

When listening through the Moment and the connected TV speakers of the Horizon, after approx. 2 hours the stand-by mode is selected. Both Moment and TV go in stand by. Settings in Moment are selected for auto power off after 24h, the Horizon does not have a clear setting for auto power off for NL sources. The regular timer is set for power off after 4h.

Hope this will be amended in near future update. Thanks B&O

3 weeks ago I got the Jukebox replaced.

Then I got Beta 2.1, and I had problems with Beomusic could not work with my Moment.

Then last week there was an update to the Beta, and suddently everything worked, for 2 days, then I had problems again.

Then yesterday I desided to try a reboot, but then I could not connect between Jokebox and Heartbeat.

I tried then to use LAN cable instead of WiFi to the Heartbeat unit, then everything works again.

My question, is it then the Jukebox or the Heartbeat that has a problem?

If I listen to TunIn and disconnect cable, I loose connection to Jukebox, but I just get a short fall out in the music and them the radio continues.

Input appriciated :-)

I'm interested in hearing this also, as my Jukebox and Soundheart cannot connect to each other if there's any kind of encryption on the WiFi

Related to Beta 2.1...

There is indeed a connection problem between JB and Soundheart. With a fresh start the JB has problems in connecting and volume level is fixed at around 40.

Waking up the JB and in give a turn on the volume circle before starting a song, playlist or album brings solution to keep the JB connected. The R&D team is aware of that problem.

However loosing the connection with your TV set is related to the Soundheart who suddenly is going to standby and reinitializes itself to the network (take a look at the back of the Soundheart, the power lamp and network indicator are flashing). It happens with my TV set also, sometimes after 10 minutes, or after a couple of hours. This problem is reported also by me a while ago.

Very important, I read your using the Moment in wireless mode.

Is the above problem repeating itself when the Soundheart stays connected to your network by cable? Did you give your Soundheart a fixed address or are you using DHCP.

To get the most reliable connection to your Moment, use always a wired connection. By doing this you closes any potential wireless problems.

abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZ

$@^`,|%;.~()/\{}:?[]=-+_#!

But be careful in using the last line of characters. Some routers do not accept some, Cisco...

The problem is not there with cabled network.

I am using DHCP at the moment, but with reserved IP. It has worked until a few days ago, I just wondered if it is an error in the recent replaced Jukebox. It has worked for two weeks.

My secret code on the WiFi does only contain letters, no special charcters. I have Ubiquiti Access points.

Thanks for info, actually found out that my Unify Controller didn't check for updates. Had to update controller software, then I could get the latest.

I will check later if it changes anything, but I doubt it, as it has worked before with the old firmware, but anyhow I got it updated, thanks for the info.

A new version 2.1.0.35 has just been made available to some beta testers to "pre-test" over the weekend.

And I am very very happy, a lot of the things I am glad about, I guess the 2.1 Beta testers noticed with the first two 2.1's, but I had to roll back to 2.0 because of the issue with the ability to change the sound delay settings, and I must say that this latest 2.1x fixes a lot of issues, at least against the 2.0.

One major issue the 2.0 has is the problem with having to tap twice, or "tap to enable swipe" in different views. This issue is now totally gone, and the JB feels much smoother.

Other than bug fixes, there is not much "new" stuff, but the DLNA is also way better at collecting and harvesting than the 2.0.

But most important, this release fixes the issues with sound delay, and other settings that could not be changed. So now I am a happy camper, and back on track again :)

TuneIn folders still has numbers over them, it is the count of sub-radiostations in that folder. I have recommended maybe to do the same as with playlists, that is to make a collage with 3-4 of the sub-radiostations artwork.

A day after I updated my accespoints, I tried to unplug my LAN cable from the Moment, and it switched over to the Wifi with just one second loss of sound, and it has worked without problem, other than I have had all the time (like turning the Moment on via my V1 TV, I have to press twice to get the sound).

So if it is the upgrade of the access points that helped, I cannot tell, as it has worked before with the old firmware, but at least it works now, and thanks for the reminder, so I got my WiFi updated.

Now I read that there should be a Beta update, so I will go and look for that :-)

A new beta 2.1 has been made available to early beta testers today..

This version adresses bugs, and the "back swipe" has been improved, so it now is possible to do easier with the left thumb, nice feature when sitting with the JB in both hands and swiping music :)

Also the unit does not enter std.by anymore, when accidentally tapping the volume ring when the JB has the display off but is playing.
