I agree that the easiness of the Moment must be maintain. Maybe it just could be make new playslists and adding music to it. Sorting and removing only by the app...

note: it isn't only making playlists but then one should also have the availability to maintain and/or delete them.
Personally I think that B&O must stay away from developing too much around a third party vendor products to avoid being dependent of any third party future change.
Being able to read Deezer playlists and add to loved tracks is sufficient, native interface must be used for managing Deezer playlists, same applies to DLNA playlists.

That is exactly what I meant in my earlier thread. There are other ways to manage and organise the Moment, but I saw some interesting proposals and some could bring an added value.
Let us in the end not forget that this machine was originally developed to bring the easiness of sound and handling to our homes. And it is very successful in doing this.
It stays and has always been B&Os mean target to bring the easiness of use and sound without compromises to our homes.

About the "Now Playing" option.
Yes please. When I walk along the Moment and I spontaniously want to hear some music, my Moment sometimes already plays through the Connect function for another member of the family in e.g. the bathroom. (setup: Moment - BS9000 - ML - ML active). So, starting music interferes the other playing.
Another thing I want to discuss is the screen order: Search - Radio - Now Playing - Moodwheel.
I think the second and third screen has to be swapped: Search - Now Playing - Radio - Moodwheel.
If you're searching and finding for an album, you have to pas along the "Radio" section to enter/look at the content of an album.
So, at this moment you have to swipe twice. By changing that order you only have to swipe once.
Also another point I had was the amount of time the Moment gives you to swipe through an album or playlist, before it returns to the "Now Playing" info. If the list of numbers on an album or with a longer playlist is longer, with any moment of doubt, thinking, sometimes the Moment returns to soon to the Now Playing info. So you have to swipe (again) through the long list...
Sandyb:Of the suggestions above, I would have thought returning to now playing screen as a default should be relatively easy to implement....
Hi,
you get a new build of the Beta-Sofware? My Beosound Moment only found a new build for the sound heart.
Does anybody has a new build too?

Ok. Not on my build.
Beobuddy:Ok. Not on my build.
I just checked for an update, there was.
The addition of the 60s delay to the Now Playing screen has been added.
Sadly my feature of Spotify Connect is gone.
How is that with the others who had this? Or still have.
The Spotify Connect feature is removed as it will not be part of 2.1. We cannot promise this as a permanent feature, but we know how important it is for many customers and are working on it. The feature will return again in the betas for 2.2.
Lyle Clarke: Thank you for the ideas. An easy to use Expand screen for multi-room is a request we see growing in popularity. Regarding extra information on the Now Playing screen, are you able to say more about what the 'trigger' is that makes you want more information about what is currently playing? Are you triggered by music playing that makes you wonder, 'where do I know this song from?' and then you look over to the Moment and wished that it could show you this information from a distance? Or perhaps you are wanting a bigger 'experience' out of the playing music, and you feel that the album art is part of this? Or maybe you are thinking that showing all this information all the time is part of how most music apps are, so therefore it is missing here in order to be complete. Or maybe you just want this information to be easily accessible when you are thinking about it. The above are some of the things we have heard from others. It would be interesting and useful for us to hear more about what it is that triggers you to want more information, and how that fits into your music listening/browsing experience. CheersLyle

Hi Lyle
Here are my thoughts on the latest release.
1: The 60 second delay.
This is a great feature, and I really like it, but.. when I'm on the MoodWheel screen, I kind of like it to stay there. This is more of a design UI point of view. The MW screen is cool, and is one of the main features of the Moment. So to go away from that screen is a shame I think. It is cool to have it on display with the MW screen always active. This screen displays the information needed for the actual song, so there is not a loss of information in staying on this screen instead of going to the now playing.
But maybe this is one of the things needed to be in settings ;)
2: Regarding more information
If I could have at least the album or playlist available, from where the song currently playing, originates from, then I am happy. This is not something that needs to be visible all the time, but if it is available when tapping the song, just as the time-slider, then this is fine by me.
Most of the times where I need the info, is when I am using the MoodWheel, and it plays a song I didn't knew I wanted to hear, even though I am using the inner ring. Then it would be cool to have information on where this song is from. So this information could also just be one more line in the top-left screen of the MoodWheel page.
3: How MoodWheel selects songs.
Sometimes when the MoodWheel seeds the queue after pressing a ring/color, it seeds many songs of the same artist right after each other. This I would like to be shuffled better, I just had a go this morning, and it found 6 songs from one album after each other, together with a lot of other songs. This combined list of songs, could be shuffled so the 6 songs where spread out, and not right after each other.
Also I have noticed "many" times, that some of the songs in the MoodWheel queue are skipped. It seems that it mixes/finds songs that are not in the same mood genre, and when it gets to that song, that is not the correct mood, it skips it. But somehow it has been seeded to the list when I pressed a color.
4: I really would like to have the "link" tab being split into 2 tabs. The "Link" should be called "Join" and do what it does today, the new tab should be something like "Expand" and contains the same as the "Join", but with the small difference, in that when you select a product, or more, it "joins" those products to what the Moment is playing.
It is a very simple UI feature I think, but something that would give fantastic productivity and use of the whole Beolink system. It could well be that in the beginning it just works with NL products, that fine by me. But this is one of the features I miss the most on the Moment.
I have the JB right at my hand, why do I need to put it down and open the app, and wait 10 seconds for it to open, then tap many times to get to the "expand" screen in the App, and then join the products to the Moment there.
I know that when I say "it is simple..." It is not, but I think that 90% of the UI is already as it should be on then "link" tap, so a copy/paste from there, and you are well on the way ;)
Other than this, I am very happy with the Moment, and I use it more and more as days go by :)

1. for me the MW screen is just a "button" to select a mood. I prefer to let it fade to the main play screen. So a setting item.....
2. agree, as discussed before

4. agree, as discussed before

totally agree
Weebyx:The MW screen is cool, and is one of the main features of the Moment.
mbolo01: Excluding MW from the switch to NP should not be a big deal, like the line-in is excluded today.
Excluding MW from the switch to NP should not be a big deal, like the line-in is excluded today.
Actually I thought of this Line-in issue, but my Moment actually switches to Line-In on the NP screen after 1 minute ?
Don't know If I like it or not, can't decide. I use Line-In for TV, and before, if the screen was up, I always had it on the collection page, just to look cool, now it turns to the dull "Line-In" screen, but I guess this is ok. It is actually what it is playing, so I guess it makes sense.
1. I'd also prefer it to fade to the Now Playing Screen (the MW screen, there is little to do with it, part from look at it....so prefer the fade to NP)
2. I think the albums information should remain on screen - i might not be looking at the screen if it appears only transiently....
3. Agree, the MW seems to play 5 or 6 straight from the same album, which is weird....i'd like to use it more....
4. Why not just have a multi room tab that appears like the BeoMusic horizontal view.......anyway, multi room would be an unbelievable transformation of the Moment......
I agree to the album information on the screen (Moodwheel + Now Playing). I have many compilations in on my DNLA Server and I am interested from what album the music is playing right now. Maybe showing the Coverart is a nice idea for the lovely screen.
I have connected the Moment to my Beovision Avant and the Avant displays this information (Songname + Albumname)
From my the point of view, it can only be the "Now Playing" Screen.
If the NP is displayed, I need exactly one swipe to get to either the Moodwheel or the Collection. For an average user, this is more logical. Otherwise I have to swipe all the way from the Moodwheel up, when I was on the collection before. Therefore I would ignore from the perspective of B & O all other wishes.
Options: Of course, heavy users always want as many options as possible. My experience (in my job), however, is that the normal user usually only uses very few options (and most of them more or less the same ones).
Each option, which is programmed, costs (even if it may not always cost a lot of money), every option that exists, must be maintained, which also costs. And each option must be supported in future changes, which also costs. Every Option makes the system more complicated and therefore more effort to maintain. These are usually no large amounts, but it adds up. Money, wich could used for cooler features. I do not know the margins in this business, but I think they are rather thin. So, I from the perspective of B & O would be cautious. But hell, we still can wish for it :-)
What the NP screen should display is, of course, also a philosophical question, but I would also go for artist, album and title. However, I would refrain from a bright fat display, since this would be interfering in a dark room (Candle light, glas of wine, you and your girlfriend on the couch, an the Moment floating the room with blue Light :-). The good thing with the Moment is, you still can turn the tablet around (that wasn't the case with the Beosound 5). If the moment could naturally adapt to the light conditions (like the TV) then i would rather discuss that.
abyss: ..... If the moment could naturally adapt to the light conditions (like the TV) then i would rather discuss that.

The display can adapt, it is actually a setting under power-settings ;)
woahh, under Power-Settings. Never would have thought of that....
Testet it, couldn't see much difference, but anyway, so the Moment could handle it....

I can see a lot of difference, however, I have it set to a fixed level, I think it gets a bit dark in the auto setting :)
It gets VERY dark in the auto setting, like unusably dark.
And a +1 from me for supporting podcasts. Could be integrated as a radio station maybe - or a playlist?
ThatGuyFromDenmark:It gets VERY dark in the auto setting, like unusably dark.
Agreed, I gave up the auto setting for this reason
Hej
A release candidate for version 2.1 of the Moment software has been enabled for all the beta testers here. As always, please give your feedback directly to the contact that has given you access to the beta.
Version 2.0 was essentially a ground-up rewrite, and version 2.1 focuses on quality and fixing side-effects, especially with regards to how BeoSound Moment works in the ecosystem, such as when sharing speakers with a BeoVision TV, as well as many smaller improvements (nearly 100 in all)
Although there are no new features, we are very proud of the progress we are making here. On behalf of the team I would like to say a heartfelt thank you to all the active beta testers for all the valuable feedback you have been giving. We are a very small team, and the number of possible different setups that a Moment can be used in is huge. We quite literally could not do this without you. Thank you!

Yes I must say that I have not regretted buying the Moment for a second since the 2.0 release.
The fact that you guys listen and actually implements some of the suggestions that we give, really is fantastic, and contributes to making the Moment much much better. Off course you can not test and think of every single configuration and use-case, but if we all chip in, then we will have a "even more" fantastic music system in the future :)
Thanks...

That was a new perspective to me, but I think he sensed it right
Hello,
I have been added to the Beta testers list by my dealer a couple of months ago. I received the sw update xxx.5534.
When I check updates on the Moment, I get message that there are no updates available. To get the latest Beta, do I need to get added again on the list by my dealer. Very intrested in the nwe sw, because I have the Moment connected to my BV1 where my speakers are connected too.
