Anyone have a frozen window when the JB fade automatically to the "Now Playing Screen"?
After a while the JB goes to Power Saving on the network, no matter if you place the JB on the Hub or not. And this Power Saving feature from the JBs tablet freezes the Now Playing Screen.
Waking up the JB by swiping to the "Moodwheel's" window shows me immediate the correct track information actually playing, but swiping back to the "Now Playing screen" or automatically going back to the "Now Playing screen" shows me again the frozen song information from a track that has played a long time ago.

I didn't have a frozen NP screen but an inconsistent NP screen where the track displayed was not the one playing.
It happened after a return back from standby by pressing the Alu wheel, triggering PatternPlay.Similar behavior that could be linked: if I empty the playlist before going standby and return via PatternPlay, the first track of the generated playlist is skipped.
I have not reported it yet as I need more time identify how to reproduce it systematically.

That's exactly also happening here.. When JB's tablet goes to Power Saving.

I was just playing around with the 2.1, and noticed(haven't done it a long time), that when double tapping an artist under "collection" it seeds the queue with numbers that are also NOT from my albums under that artist ?
Is this a new feature or a bug introduced ?
I find it kind of irritating that if I would like to listen to all "my albums" from "Alphaville" (which is actually only one album, just for testing), the queue now contains 10 times the number of songs, 90% which are not "mine", after I have double tapped the artist cover ..
Anyone else noticed this ?

He Kiran,
Did you get the update 2.1x anyway?
I was meant to be on the beta users list but I wasn't receiving the beta updates.
So I followed this up and now I am on the correct list ๐๐ป๐๐ป๐๐ป
How did you followed this up. Contacted the dealer?

If I doubletap on a "local" artist from my DLNA, the queue is populated with only songs from my albums under that artist, if I doubletap an artist from Deezer, the queue is seeded with totally random numbers from that artist, mixed with my albums favourited from Deezer..
This has to be a bug, if not, then I really don't get the idea behind this functionality...
Really no one has any input on this ?
Weebyx:he queue is seeded with totally random numbers from that artist, mixed with my albums favourited from Deezer..
I think this is by design
This is intentional. The idea in doing it this way makes it more likely that you will be able to hear and discover music from an artist beyond that which you already have in your collection... which is one of the advantages you have from a music service, vs. DLNA file based collection.

Ok, hmmm, dont think I like this feature, but at least it is intentional ;)
Thought the idea was that the MoodWheel was used for discovering "new" music, but then again, this finds other artists also. hmm, I see the dilemma here..
Maybe another setting for the settings page ;)
Also, I had issues with the Moment discovering changes made from Deezer, It refused to update from Deezer, and the only way I got this working again, was to reset the content completely, not factory, just content, then it seems to be back in working order again.
I am wondering if when updates are distributed, if some rebuild are needed on the local database to keep it running ?
the Deezer updating issue is known i believe.......might be something to do with Deezer....but i think Lyle is aware........my example was deleting a Deezer playlist on (for example) the iOS app, and it not disappearing from the Moment....the playlist tile shows, the songs aren't there, but the tile still shows...and i get an error message in Notifications related to the "deleted" playlist......i have sent Lyle a sequence of screenshots demonstrating this.....

It does make sense, and I am also beginning to see this as a cool feature. I was just a bit baffled when it did it for the first time, since I had not been aware of the change :)
Since what version has it been doing this, and have I maybe missed it because I just by chance only shuffled music from my DLNA server ?
I love this feature, too! Please don't delete it! It is nice to hear new music of my fav. artist.
Well, it seems that the 2.1 is making the Moment a really fantastic audio system. I don't have that many NL products yet, only the A6 and Moment.
This works fine together with the X app, but I really really would like to be able to expand my music from the jukebox instead of having to find my phone. I plan on expanding with more products, and to be able to expand and control music in other rooms from the Jukebox would be great when having people over for a party :)
Now most of the bugs and functionality has come to a really cool stable version, it is time for this cool feature I think :)
Any ideas and thoughts from you guys ?

Hiort:Fully agree with your post. I have A6, M5 and Beosound 1 and I would love to be able to control from the Jukebox.

Quick question for Moment owners with 2.x FW and other NL products like A6, A9, M5 etc: would it be possible to use them as default and only speakers - without any Beolab speakers connected to it?
To use Moment as a "control center" of several devices around the apartment, none of them physically connected to the Moment itself?
AnalogPlanet:would it be possible to use them as default and only speakers
Assuming the Moment accepts streaming music without any speaker configured, and that all your devices are configured for multiroom, it is technically possible but very inconvenient as you would have to (1) start the streaming on the Moment (2) join the other products either from the products themselves or leveraging the mobile app as the Moment JukeBox can't do the job (3) and control the devices start/stop/volume from either the device itself or the mobile app, a pain I would say.
Thank you for the question. You can remove speakers from the Moment, but you can not select other NL devices like A6, A9, M5 as the default speakers, so after starting content to play, you need to go over to your A6, A9, M5 and join from there. Apart from that, the volume control will not work to control the volume of anything. Why would the benefits of this setup be to you?
Our team is very interested in hearing more reasons/arguments that expanding from the Moment UI makes more sense than using an app.
Secondly, we would like to know the maximum number of NL devices / sets of speakers you could imagine connecting to your system.

The main reason for me, regarding using the moment instead of the app, is that I am already sitting with the jukebox. Putting it down to find my phone, starting the app and wait 10 seconds for it to load, is just an unnecessary step I think.
The jukebox is already an app, so for people with a Moment, using the x app would be a 2 scenario in a perfect world.
Then there is the coolness factor. People that aren't the biggest fan of Bang and Olufsen, sees the jukebox as just an app on a tablet, and the fact that you need to use another app to control your entire B&O system is just water on their mill.
The moment with the jukebox should be main entry point for control. Having the cool alu wheel together with the control screen is the bomb ๐
The app is cool and is also a big part of control, but the jukebox need to be more than just an essence mk2, with a display ๐
Just my input..

Apps are good to pick music from long lists, but not for quick interactions, like volume up/down, next/previous track, play/pause.
Also, although I am addicted to my phone, home is the only place where I don't have it with me in my pocket. It might be on a desk or charging in my bedroom.
Ideally you could buy additional Beosound Moment panels and have them wall mounted or on table-top stands/chargers.

Hello Lyle,
Lyle Clarke: Why would the benefits of this setup be to you?
Why would the benefits of this setup be to you?
My appartment configuration is such that I don't have need/room for dedicated Beolab speakers, but I like functionalities like MoodWheel and PatternPlay a lot. And I would like to use Moment for 4-5 different speakers around the apartment rather than one dedicated pair.
Also, in such setup, I would dream of Moment being able to save few "programs" of the most used configurations of multiroom speakers, sources, artists/radio channels. An example: a "Friday Party" program would turn on A9 in living room, A6 in the kitchen, put them both on higher volume and play TuneIn radio station that plays EDM music.
That way users might be able to personalize Moment with and within the multiroom environment, and I feel that might enhance not only the experience user gets from Moment itself - but also from the whole multiroom setup (in whichever random config it could be). Plus, it would be easy and elegant to expand your multiroom setup in the future by just adding more or new products and updating "programs".
Not sure everyone feels this might be an interesting option, it came to my mind simply from everyday's need. I even opened, btw, another thread where I was asking people if I can perhaps achieve that or similar with Beoremote One and MyButtons - seems like not.
Cheers, Roman
Oh, and one more thing! :)
That would allow me to put Moment anywhere I like in the apartment, regardless whether speakers used are near or not. Also, no wires - kind of a "poor man's" WISA effect on multiroom platform.
Well I've had the Moment since it was first released, had my dealers first unit, and I have never used the Moments tablet and have no wish to.
I much prefer iphone/ipad as I always have these with me, so making that work better is the priority for me.

Very interesting discussion.
As I understood well, the Moment could be the main system to command a B&O sound setup in the house and the app would be seen as a secondary way to control your system.
I could find myself in this configuration, but what is the use of the "join" button further in this?
My living room and kitchen are blend together as one space, with a Moment in the living room and the Essence in the kitchen.
How can I command the Essence further if you choose the Moment to command the kitchen. Would I have to take the JB to the kitchen to put it louder or quieter? So the IR-eye and BeoRemote for the kitchen would be in this situation useless?
