Kiran:Yes! Full Beolink controller for the Beolink Gateway!
Of course, the Moment should do all that the Beolink/Beomusic/Bang & Olufsen app is doing, plus the moodwheel and specific moment features.

Does the 2.1 beta still include support for Spotify Connect?

Hmm, I have to disagree a bit here. Yes, the Moment need to do the Multiroom stuff, but I really think that home automation is out of scope for the Moment.
It is a music system, and the level of complexity needed to do full home automation, I think is too much to ask.
But that said, maybe it should be able to perform selected macros or something, from the Beolink Gateway, since it already can connect to your Gateway regarding passing Light commands.
Lets hope that the tablet in the Jukebox is "over dimensioned", and can handle the features being added the next year(s), and that the Moment keeps getting attention from B&O in the future, so there is focus on it.

completely agree.....it's a music system, and the main missing aspect with respect to the music experience, is Multi-room proper........yes in theory its a tablet, so i get the wishlist, but they're not going to happen......and thats even if the spec is capable enough........
The BS Moment is a music player (a BeoSound) and should not be bloated with all kinds of multiroom or even home automation stuff.
This would compromise the simplicity of the concept, which highlights MoodWheel and PatternPlay - it is a jukebox.
Those who need more (control for more) should get a control app on a phone/tablet for that.

There is a tv - and there is a BV

i thought you wanted to access your Lutron functions from the Moment?
Apps are just not practical as remotes:
Find my phone > Home button > Fingerprint > Swipe > Swipe > Tap > Wait 5 sec > Tap > Volume up

It needs to be able to expand your music to other rooms, today it can "Join In" on other rooms playing, and "Expanding" the music to other rooms, I think is one of the benefits of the Jukebox part of the Moment. I have heard from my dealer that this is what customers ask when they present the Moment to future customers. 99% of the times when I use the X app, it is to "push" music from either the A6 -> Moment, or the other way around, and every time it annoys me that I have to wait 10 seconds for the X app to load and find my products. Much easier if I could just "push" music from the Jukebox.
My Jukebox is located on a shelf on the wall I the center of my living room, and it is easier to go there, than to find the phone and launch X app :)
So Multiroom->Yes please, Home automation-> No thanx :)
hence the existence of the Moment and Essence (wheelies) i guess.........though i guess some don't mind using a phone as primary controller, i'm with you totally, its slow............that said, while the Moment does the basic's very well and quickly, a bit more flexibility (multi-room proper, better management of Deezer playlists) would go a long way......
as for more complex requests, they just won't happen IMHO......
Teach us more in this field. After reading on here, we can learn more in this topic.
Agree in principle, though basic multi-room (expanding not just joining) seems relatively straightforward and central to the music experience these days.........as for more complex scenarios, agree, waste of time grafting these onto a Moment, and won't happen anyway.......

+1 to you both. Stick with music. Period. :-)
But the Moment was intended, the way I understand it, as the hub of all music in your home, not just a simple music player. Anyway, it's the only music player/system in the B&O-lineup with a decent touch display making it capable of a more advanced user interface. It should be able to control what is playing on every other Beolink Multiroom device in the setup.
Going slightly off topic here, but not much: Lyle, you're investing so much time and effort in this new software for the Moment, and it's greatly appreciated. But it would be a pity if all that effort is just spent on *one* product's life-cycle? It won't be long before the weakest point of the Moment is its hardware. The display, in particular, felt outdated almost from the time it was launched.
My point: Are you planning a Moment mk2, to keep the ball rolling? I've voiced my wishes on this topic before, but... I think you nailed it in so many ways with the design of the Moment. You don't need to change much, the way I see it. But give the mk2 a proper OLED display, with a hard glass surface, instead of the embedded tablet. A white-on-black interface looks sooo nice when you can't tell where the display ends and the bevel begins, like on the apple watch.

You can access Home Automation from the TVs, from the Beoremote One. Not sure why I couldn't access it from the Beosound's panel, which is a much more capable remote than the Beoremote One (or it should be) and is more accessible than the TV's home automation screen.
The option woudn't appear if you don't have a home automation system anyway, so no bloating there.
Everything would be in the same Link menu as it is now.
Version 2.1 installed previous week. I'm not a Beta user.
Still some issues with DLNA, after updating my own collection to my Synology DS216J. I adding my CD collection by Itunes and upload cover arts manualy (so not the automatic added picture from Itunes), i find out this works better with Moment (more stable).
Cover arts are not shown every time when i take the Moment out standby.
I have switched off the standby function of my Synology, it's allways running yet. First day it seems to be fine. Next day also... Problem solved i thought....
But....
Today i take the Moment after 3 days not using. Black cover arts again. Titles and artists are shown, can play music, but no cover art.
Taking the back plate off, settings, DLNA, refresh date. After few minutes, everything is working well...
Why can't the Moment show cover art every time i take my Moment for a song....
In the -X-app DLNA albums are showing well.
On the Moment at this time, it seems the Moment searching for cover art by them self.
For example, some chrismtas CD's where i add the cover art by myself, first time it shows te right cover but after a few days the Moment shows every time another (christmas) cover art, these covers aren't in my collection, on my NAS,PC, or whatever else. No idea where the Moment get these covers from.....
After taking of the back-plate, refresh the DLNA data, everything is fine....
Has anyone on the Beta track heard any news on the 2.2 Beta yet ? It has been awfully quiet from B&O since the 2.1 release ?
Weebyx:Has anyone on the Beta track heard any news on the 2.2 Beta yet ?
No, I didn't hear anything since the 2.1
Same here, DLNA isn't work well.....
I'm using the latest version of the B&O app (not beta) with the latest version of the software for moment (2.1 something, also not beta) with Twonky 8.4. It's pretty solid. Previously when I'd turn my Mac off at night the Moment would get confused and report the DLNA server as "unavailable". That issue seems to be fixed, and my Moment is now able to re-establish the connection. I can honestly say that I'd now recommend the Moment, so I'm surprised you're having such issues.

As Twonky user, you may have noticed a playlist named "Last Played" which is updated each time a new DLNA track has been played.
The impact on the Moment is that it considers this update as a DLNA server status change, which triggers a Harvest Rescan to capture the library changes which is useles in this context but which serioulsy impacts the Moment CPU when you have more than 36k tracks.
My Moment is almost continuoulsy rescaning as I play DLNA music, sometime it gets crazy and start a full scan like if there was a reset, sometime my number of tracks drops to 1k and I have to wait for a rescan or force it to recover all my tracks. Then all the MoodWheel processing starts ... again, and again.
This over-processing impacts the music listening experience by introducing streaming cuts, particularly at the begining of each track around 20" after the begining.
All this has been reported to B&O hand hopefully 2.2 will solve this.
I am using Twonky Server on my QNAP NAS and I don't have this problem! It works nearly perfect. No problem with harvesting the collection.
The only problem with the Moment I have ist the MoodWheel. It doesn't work as it should. For example I have more than 20.000 tracks in my DNLA. I have all albums of Jonny Cash and the moodwheel only plays old country music. :-(
Don't update your nas to Qts 4.3.3 because then you will lose twonky

Hi mbolo01,
may I ask on which Beta-Version No. you are right now. i experience the same behaviour with different DLNA-settings (NAS, MinimServer and Twonky). At first I have a perfect collection, after the second processing the content starts to fade and to rebuild, then the next processing kicks in and the whole database seems to corrupt. I reported this issue to B&O already. It seems Lyle is on his well deserved vacation. Therefore it is nowadays awfully quiet.
Cheers Beroli
mbolo01: koning: Don't update your nas to Qts 4.3.3 because then you will lose twonky You can purchase a Twonky license and install the Twonky QNAP pkg on top of QTS 4.3.3. Works very well for me.
