MircoHH:There was definitely no harvesting
I am using the latest RC 2.1 ( no beta anymore)

Lyle: I suppose you cannot possibly follow all threads on this forum, so I thought I'd grab your attention in this thread.
Please see the thread called "Help! - No sound from Beolab 19 playing from Moment". We are two with the same problem here, both running the latest Moment software and both having problems playing over WiSA to our Beolab 19s. I suspect this is a Moment software issue, and since I've never had this problem earlier it's tempting to think that this is a glitch or bug introduced in 2.0 or 2.1.
Thank you!

MircoHH: There was definitely no harvesting.
There was definitely no harvesting.
To give you an example:
Here is a picture before starting a DLNA stream, top message says that the Moment is having a cool life, nothing to report:
After several tracks played out of my NAS, leveraging the inner ring of the Moodwheel in this case, but same happens if I play a DLNA sourced album.
,
Top message says that my DLNA collection is being analyzed.
Et voilà !

Same behaviour for me.
But the harvest is endless, as a new scan begins as soon as the previous one is finished.

Hi
I have just noticed with the latest version, which also is the public release, my Moment has problems with Mute/Unmute.
Mute always work, but most times, Unmute does not. Sometimes it is possible to come out of mute with Volume up, or pressing Mute again, but most of the times, I need to select the Source on the remote again to get it out of Mute..
Anyone else experiencing this ?
This can be reproduced both with Beo6 and Beo4.
/Jacob
Does anybody know, when we will get a new release. I thought, B&O went to a 1-Month-Sprint in updating the software.

Hi Weebyx,
I was asking mbolo01 last week on which version he os right now. I am testing several DLNA-configurations including playlists and I am currently on 2.1.10841.102458418. Is this the latest public release?
I can not reproduce your issue. Mute/Unmute works like a charm on the Moment.
Cheers Beroli

This is also my version, and also the version I think is the latest public release ?
Sorry Beroli, I forgot to answer.
So I confirm the version number for the SH, and the JB version is 2.1.0.3656
I don't have any remote, so can't contribute.
Cheers
Beroli:But I still have troubles with the harvesting process
I checked it again and I don't have these problems.
I have a QNAP NAS with the Twonky Server, and the Moment is connected via WIFI. I have switched off the rescan interval in the cfg-file.

I have to start the manual scan in the twonky server and after that, I start the rescan at the BS Moment. And after that the new tracks are visible.
How did you turn off the rescan interval?where is the cfg-file located.
zerocool143: How did you turn off the rescan interval?where is the cfg-file located.
You can do the same from the Twonky UI by setting the Rescan Interval to 0, and it should be the way to configure it to avoid clashes with the Moment own scan that cannot be configured.
I think it's time for B&O to consider a "control screen" where users could perform basic controls from the JB without having to remove the socket cover, e.g.
DLNA sync (assuming we can also set it manual v.s automatic in the configuration)Deezer sync (assuming we can also set it manual v.s. automatic in the configuration)ToneBalanceLightMute
Don't you think?
Hi,
can you tell me the URL you can watch the activity at the BS Moment?
Fully agree Mbolo

I have Moment connected to BV1 and speakers connected to the BV1. When I switch from i.e. radi to tv, the JB shows the TV program. When I shut down the tv, The JB stays on, displaying the last TV station. I have to press manually the center of the ring of the JB to get it in standby.
Is this a bug?

Yes, this is bug that Lyle is aware of, the same happens if you have the Moment in std.by, and just tap the screen without starting play, it turns on the screen, but dosn't turn off unless you press std.by on a remote, and sometimes you first need to start playing music, and the press std.by on remote or wheel.

Do you still get feedbacks to your reports/ mails to Lyle? Since weeks it is awfully quiet. I asked arround – No responses from B&O. Is he still there or is he on leave/vacation? Hope the later – since the development on the Moment improved very well.

Latest answer was May 20 :-(

Same here, therefore I have stopped testing, because there is no progress anymore and I am stuck with a very flawed beta–version – worse than two betas before. The never stopping harvesting process made it impossible to use my BS–Moment for my DLNA–content. I never expected this kind of beta–tester–company relation, when I agreed to be a part of it.
It is very sad that B & O no longer responds. I have not heard anything. And a new version has not appeared any more. I really thought it would be better now.

mbolo01:Fortunately the X App helps here. This is how I enjoy my DLNA collection through the Moment these days, even if the continuous harvesting sometimes impacts the streaming fluidity. But the JB is now useless for me, unfortunately, and despite the efforts made in 2.1 BS Moment, BL 18, BL 19, A6, M5, A1, H5

Is there a way to access the sources of other product via the moments interface. For example, whilst in the X app you can access the sources available of all multiroom products. Or by using my V1 I can access the sources of my BLC. Is there a way to do so with the moment?

My Moment is harvesting once or twice a day (beta-sw); seems to work OK - JB works normal - X app works.

Actually, I received a mail from B&O a few days ago after I had asked to be added to the beta programme of the Moment, regarding the problem I have with WiSA and my Beolab 19 (see different thread). The mail was not from Lyle, but I could see two mails down in the thread that it was he who had asked for me to be added, that same day.
So they are definately there, and definately working.
As a customer what I really want in the end is as good software for the Moment as possible, not chatting with the developers on the forum. That's a means to an end, not a goal in itself. I would therefore expect Lyle and the team to prioritize their time in such a way that development is as efficient as possible. That means being a bit cynical and getting involved in the forum only when they know it adds value to the process. For example, if they currently have more than enough input to keep them busy, both feature requests and bug reports, spending more time on the forum would not benefit us as customers before they either need input or have sufficient capacity to consider new suggestions.
What I think I'm saying is: Don't lose heart. The Moment has progressed really well the last six months, and I'm sure it will continue to. We should be happy that Lyle probably is too busy developing to spend time on the forum.

In a way I agree, and lets hope you are right :)
But with that said, a simple status update would be nice.. It was B&O that got us engaged in the Beta testing, and just ending communication from one day to the other without notice and explanation, that is a bit weird I guess.
We all would understand if they said, "we are very busy with all your input, and we will focus on fixing that for now, we will get back to you with a status within the next month or so"..
