Does anyone here experience in the moment some lagging response on the tablet? what could be the cause of it?

You can try also to remove the Jukebox from the soundheart and the turn off the tablet. Just get a pin and press on the top pin hole.
Version 2.2x solves the error where the JB gets more sluggish over time. I believe those reading the forum that are running 2.2 will be able to confirm this.
If you would like to try this yourself, please send a mail to beta@bang-olufsen.dk
Cheers

Hi Lyle - long time no see ;-)
I guess a lot of the Moment user will be pleased to see that you are ‘still alive and kicking’ ;-))

Lyle!
Great to see you back on these forums - I hope you & the team are well.
It would be great to get an update from you on the future of the Moment and its OS. Plenty of folk seeing huge improvements with v2 (me included!).
Equally many with some teething issues, as are well documented in this thread ... so some immediate questions:
1. Is 2.2 ever going to come out of beta?
2. Is 2.2 effectively the end of the line for the Moment OS?
3. What features are in your backlog?
4. Can you confirm if Airplay 2 is NOT coming to Moment (it was missing from the official announcement so assume so)
I'm sure others will chime in, and I appreciate you can't disclose new product information, but as a group of loyal customers who invested greatly in this platform and have shown extreme patience, it sure would be appreciated to get some honest perspectives.
Many thanks
Tom

Rock solid.

Those are all very good questions.

Hi,
I too would like to know when the beta will be released?
Thanks,
Frank
I would guess that they're close to release either a final version of the current beta or even a general new release. But, that's a guess from my side. I'm currently running beta version 2.2.0.3812-2.2 which solved an issue that I had with my Moment and BLC integration. So looking promising.

When you were having the problems with BLC integration, did you find that you could not access the setup menu when removing the back socket cover?

Yes, exactly that is the problem that I had and the new beta solves this issue. To be able to upgrade you have to reset the SoundHeart so it reboots and once it's up and running again you'll now able to access the Settings menu by removing the lid and go directly for software upgrade.

Excellent. I did a software update this morning before leaving for work. Fingers are crossed.

How did it go with the update to the latest beta?

The new beta seems to be stable and to have fixed the issues. It's nice to finally be able to manually control the DLNA harvesting and to have Deezer FLAC. I can tell a noticeable improvement in sound with the Deezer FLAC. I also notice that the volume control is more responsive and precise.
I overall feel that this beta makes the unit far more snappier and less lag when it comes to handle images.

Indeed the latest beta version is very stable!
The only thing I miss that the album titles are not on alphabetical version. So when you have a cd which exist of mutiple cd's they are not displayed next to each other. I hope this will be changed into the next update.

Has anyone compared the sound quality of the Moment vs Core? Was a bit puzzled by "John from Manchester" in his youtube review of the Core: He replaced the Moment with the Core and was surprised by how much better it sounded.
John is serious about his B&O gear, so I have no reason to question his observation - but... should we replace our Moments with a Core if we value sound quality?

I was a bit surprised by that comment myself. Does the Core include so much better D/A processing?
Core sounded better.....are they serious.
Core is overpriced chinees .....
Compare a core with a Bluesound Node and then we talk again.
mbolo01:Not sure if it is only beta software related, Moment and/or app, or if I missed it previously, but you can now configure alarms on the Momemt
Where do you find that? I looked in the app but could not find anything.
Hi!
@Mbolo01:I think it a new function i haven't seen it before.
Since the latest beta version of the Moment software (JB 2.2.0.3849 - SH 2.2.20869.213293545) which we received last week I have troubles with the self-made artist-tiles. When I do a rebuild of the collection the self-made artist-tiles are not visible anymore and will be replaced with a grey picture and after a while it will be replaced with the pictures from I think Gracenote. I have tried many thing to get it back to work (e.g. reset QNAP NAS server, new installation of Twonky, reset the BeoSound Moment). Before the new beta I haven't these problems and it worked well.
Is there anybody who has experienced also these problems with the new beta-software?
Hiort:Where do you find that? I looked in the app but could not find anything.

I had trouble too. I have not rebuilded my library, just added a couple of new artists and "scan for new DLNA content", the self-managed artist images appeared after the second scan attempt, but I may not have been patient enough to wait for the first scan + enrichment to complete.
I usually do the following:
1 - Create a JPEG image with the exact artist name (be careful of artists starting with "The") in the BEOARTISTS folder of my audio/photo DLNA server2 - Launch a new DLNA server media rescan3 - Control that the new image(s) are well exposed by the DLNA server4 - Launch a Moment scan for new DLNA content
mbolo01:Select the Moment in the app and click on the top cyan bar. Next screen may have the Alarm setup, if not upgrade to the latest app if you are on the beta track. I have tested it and it works. Maybe a test as the feature is not yet available in the JB. BS Moment, BL 18, BL 19, A6, M5, A1, H5
Maybe he compared it with and without Deezer HiFi?

Mr Anderson - or whover is responsible...
I have asked this previously...
Does anyone know when the MOMENT BETA software is due to be rolled out to the rest of the planet?
Frank (shazbat)
I would try to update later today or tomorrow morning. :)
Ah, you know... A little B&O here, a little there
BeoMegaMan: I would try to update later today or tomorrow morning. :)
Seems to be out now. Mine is updating now...
Oh, and Deezer album art is back in the app as well, just now. A day for updates and fixes, it seems.
-h.
I feel that this deserves some serious fanfare and should be an international holiday: The Day that 2.2 (Finally) Came Out of Beta.
Sadly I cannot agree because my BSM still does not play the Icelandic National Radio (RÁS 1 and RÁS 2). If I press the station either on the Moment or in the app nothing plays :( Absolutely drives me mad that I haven't been able to listen to the radio for over a year because B&O cannot support something that apparently everyone else supports (I can listen to the radio on TuneIn and all other internet radio equipment I've tried) except the Moment/B&O...
I even sent a support ticket some months ago and B&O said they knew about the problem and were working on it...
I'm terribly afraid now since they have discontinued the Moment we wont see any more updates so ... I guess no radio for me or any other Icelanders.
