Hi everyone!

Just got my Beoplay A1 week ago and yesterday I noticed white noise. Not so loud, but it's there even when not connected (but of course ON).

You could definately hear it whin pressing A1 to your ear, but in silent room it also audible from 1 or 2 ft away (depends).

Is it normal for A1 or need to be fixed?

Thank you!

Hello, hapy new year and welcome to Beoworld,

unfortunately this seems to be normal for the A1 - mine does it too. But I don't think it should be that loud that you can hear it 2 feet away!? I have to check mine this evening if it's that loud and will get back to you.

Thank you TWG, Happy New Year for you too!

You could hear it from 2 ft in silence only (using my A1). Please tell if it the same (or not) for your.

Good morning,

please stay calm until this evening. It was very late yesterday when I left work... ;)

I can hear white noise when the A1 is pressed against my ear, and from about 1 ft away in a silent room (my ear is 1 ft from the device).  I can't hear it at 2 ft, but maybe my hearing is not as good as yours.  Anyway, I've used mine on my desk for about 3 months now and never noticed it, and it doesn't bother me because, typically, it is turned off when I'm not using it.

My A1 has severe white noise and it is also common on beolit 15 although much less. Same wth most beolabs. But on A1 it is very annoying. But it's less noticeable when playing music, however on jazz it's very disturbing.

Checked as promised:

- A1: white noise, yes, I can hear it two feet away in a completely silent room.

- A2: white noise, too. It's not as loud as the A1 in a completely silent room.

and I thought those problems where solved in the 1970s.... but, sure, it's a luxury brand. Devil

Thanks a lot for all your replies!

So I see this is somehow normal :)

Also I found some comments that B&O knows about it and tell that it's compromise to make A1 so loud or something like that. Seems strange to me but what could we do :)
