Hi there,

I just got a 12" 78rpm (Beach House - Bloom) and want to play it on my 1203.

As far as I understand, the playing modes '30', '25' and '17' corresponds to 12"/33rpm, 10"/78 and 7"/45rpm. Is there any way to make it play a 12"/45rpm?

Hope you can help :) Thanks!

Figured out it's:

30 = 12"/33rpm
25 = 10"/33rpm
17 = 7"/45rpm

No 78 rpm :)

I can play it while putting the needle down while set on '30', then switch to '17'. Is that safe for the record?

Thanks again!

Perfectly safe.
That's one way to do it.
The other way is to start on 17cm, grab the arm as it lowers, swing it out and put it in the lead-in groove.
