B&O's Q2 interim report for 2016/17 has just been published:

This may shed some light on why they weren't that interested in that whazzamacallit Chinese company's takeover offer last year. Most figures are well up, and I believe the share price hasn't been this high since 2008.

Tiny bit unnecessary (and they are fixing them). I've have almost zero issues with any of the recent BeoPlay or B&O mainline products I've purchased recently. Granted, there are issues with the TVs, but then they had serious issues with s/w on their TVs going back years. Trust me, nothing was worse than the issues they had with the BV7-40 and Sky. Dragged on for over a year (and that was about 10 years ago!).

Sorry if you feel that, but when you know what is happening at dealer level with the problems that the software is creating and the headache it is causing for the engineers then my sympathy goes to them, I'm glad they are doing better but it needs to improve, I do remember the sky issue it was sky that had the major issue again we are seeing problems with there new product as well, it seems now, a product is released causes problems and then they have to resolve the issue, every one is entitled to there opinion, trust I know the kit very well, but I would rather have the old equipment which I still have and is more reliable and better looking than what they have now, again that's my own thoughts

Excellent performance.

I'm surprised the gross margin isn't higher than 40% given the price points of the products. High production and material costs demonstrates that the value of B&O products is intrinsic rather than an uplift from image or marketing.
