Hello,
I am new to the Beoworld forum but have owned a good number of 60s and 70s B&O turntables and amplifiers over the last 2 years.
I have just purchased a 1203 Beogram which seems to be in perfect working order and A1 condition.
I do, however, want to make a small adjustment to the tonearm travel in automatic mode as it lands on the very edge of the record and could slip off before finding the lead in groove.
Could someone tell me how to do this? I am guessing there will be an adjustment screw somewhere.
This is the 4th Beogram I have owned in the 1200 series but the first that has needed adjustment.
Thanks in advise to anyone who can help.
Colin
The adjustment are on the bottom they are marked there are two, you may only have to adjust one they are marked on the plastic which is which
Thank you beo 3000 - spot on.
To help anyone else wishing to make this adjustment I found that by pulling my deck forward and allowing it to overhang the front of my cabinet I was able to do it without turning the deck upside down. There is one hole for 7" records and another for 10" / 12". Use a fairly small slot headed screwdriver and turn clockwise to adjust the tonearm to land nearer the edge and anti-clockwise to land further onto the record. Probably only a 1/4 turn is required to move the set down position 5mm. I found it quite difficult to get the screwdriver tip to engage in the screw head as you need to make sure that it doesn't miss the screw and slip in an extra few mm. Once you are sure that you have found the top of the screw you just need to slowly rotate until it engages.
