Hey Guys,
I am the happy owner of a Beolit 15. I would like to use this speaker instead of the speakers in my Samsung Smart TV when watching a movie. Is it possible to stream the sound from my TV to my Beolit 15 using bluetooth.
Hi. I also have a Samsung smart tv and have had a look at the Bluetooth settings. I'm not sure if you have checked this yourself but it is in the 'sound' menu - speaker settings - Bluetooth headphone list. It appears that the tv is only compatible with Samsungs own Bluetooth headphones but may be worth a try anyway. There doesn't appear to be any other Bluetooth setting, at least on my tv. (2 years old). Even if it did work you may experience some lag between visual and sound on what's being displayed, although I believe there is also a setting somewhere on the tv to compensate for this.
I must admit the inbuilt speakers on the tv are poor, I have my tv connected to a seperate (BS3000) system so I can fully understand your asking to improve the sound.
Please let us know if this works or not.
Graeme.
Beware that with bluetooth there may occur delays between audio and video, that means that what you see is not in sync with what (and when) you hear it.depending on your Beolit 15 placement I would simply connect it to the headphone out of your TV with a loooooong cable. If the headphone output is standard 3,5mm stereo you can simply use a e.g. 10m cable with two 3,5mm stereo plugs and connect both devices. Hide the cable to make it look better and you're ready to go.
as a center speaker 1,5m would be long enough, lol. i fully agree with TWG: for synchronicity use a cable
