I have an issue that has recently developed with my Beogram 6500.

When you press the start button the tone arm rests fractionally short of the start of the record. It then needs to be manually moved forward.

I also have an issue where it does not detect 7" records and starts everything at 12".

Are these common problems or easy to resolve?

Thanks

Garry

I had to take my 6500 TT to be serviced because I was having a similar issue. The tonearm on my machine navigated to the edge of the LP and dropped, the needle hit the edge of the LP and fell off. The service center said they replaced a belt and "reset a few things." Cost me $250US. I'll look at the invoice later today and post my findings of what they did if they provided any detail.
