Hello all,
I recently got a beovision avant DVD given to me as I wanted something to play old video games and dvds on. I have set it all up and all seems fine, however I seem to have a problem sorting the DVD player out.
When I first plugged it all in, everything seemed to work fine. I opened the DVD slot, and began to play a DVD and it worked flawlessly. I then messed about a bit to set up my old playstation 2, and eventually got that working.
I then tried to go back to watching a DVD and nothing. I can't get the disk loader to open via the remote or the buttons on the unit, and nothing shows on screen. I have been trying for hours and cant seem to figure it out! Am I missing something?

Sounds to me the DVD function has been assigned to another source and not the actual DVD drive.
I don't own one, so can't go into details, but maybe try to look at the input/source settings and see if you can assign the built-in dvd back to the right function in your tv?
