On tuesday my BV 9 is leaving and BV 7 arriving, 3 guys are coming to install this beauty. My questions are: is the  installation included in the price? (they say it is on B&O´s website, but my previous dealer charged me, have a new dealer now.) And is it as awesome as they say??

Beo Smile

Beovision 7-55" 3D, Beosound 5, Beolab 9, Beolab 8000, Beovision 6, Beo 6, Beoremote one, H8, H2.

Good choice. Best picture, sound and DVD player on the planet.

Pay the man and fire it up. What are you going to watch first?

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

I would imagine that installation is included, but if you already have the receipt, it should tell you. I took delivery of my 7-55 3D from a dealer thousands of miles away and did the installation myself in a few hours. It's pretty straight forward. The only thing you need the other guys for is lifting the TV off of the floor and hanging it on the stand bracket (a maneuver that would be impossible on your own). I had two friends help lift the TV while I guided it onto the bracket. That part took less than 20 seconds.

BeoLab 5, BeoVision 7-55 MK2, BeoSound 5 Encore, BeoSound 9000, BeoLab Penta III, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 2, BeoLab 7-6, BeoSound 8, BeoTime (analog clock), Beo 4 remote.

Pay the man and fire it up. What are you going to watch first? Beovision 10-46, Belab 11, Beosound 8, Beocom 2 and a shed load of A8's and Form 2's. Oh and a Beo4 and 6.

Totally agree I have a740 3d and it is fantastic but the 55 3d is out of this world.

Enjoy

When I bought my first BV8-40 the technician was setting everything up without any extra charge. He did a very nice installation, hiding all cables. Even one HDMI cord that was missing was included, not to mention the free IR cords for PUC devices.

A year later I bought a BV8-32 and also a DVB-S2 module for the 8-40 and the installation of both was part of the service. I just paid the 2 hours he was in the outside to install the Sat dish and switches...

All in all the technician was working for about 8 hours free of charge. The B&O dealer is in Lindau/Germany and also Dornbirn/Austria.

Madness. It's a tv they're installing in your home, not the space shuttle to the launch pad.

Beosound Stage, Beovision 8-40, Beolit 20, Beosound Explore.

What did they do?

Simply setting up the TV?

Almost unbelievable.

Did you not agree this in advance? As a comparison. I had a painter in my place for an entire week (yes, week) and he charged me about £1500 pounds, including all materials.

they didn`t say anything about installtion cost... Talked to a former B&O dealer and he was schoked too, he told me to not pay.

I bought mine, together with speakers,in January, and set up,which took about 2 hours, was included with no additional charge, although at the time of placing my order my dealer did advise me that some dealers did charge for delivery, and installation.

In your case,if no charge is itemised in your original invoice,or no mention of delivery/nstallation being chargeable  is made in your original paperwork,or was advised to you in conversation,I would refuse to pay.

As a matter of interest, how near to you is the dealer from whom you bought the TV?

Any particular difficulties in effecting delivery eg upper floor in a block without a lift?
