Hi,

Would like to play Guitar with headphones, not to annoy any neighbors or family members.

With a converter plug 6,3 - 3,5mm i plugged in my B&O H6

In two different amplifiers the sound through H6 sounds very odd, low volume and crackling (is that a word?).

I suspect a faulty converter, but before I buy a new one I wanted to know if it actually could work. Maybe it's an impossible match? 🎸🎧

It could be because the h6 cable has the output for the microphone. So it has 4 outputs instead of 3 which sometimes do not play nice with a plug that has 3 terminals. You could try and take the headphone plug out of the converter by a few millimeters and see if that gets the correct sounds.

The H3 is the same way and I've literally never experienced problems with mine because of that. I regularly plug them into jacks that don't have the 4th contact, both 3,5 and 6,3 mm (such as the one in my MOTU UltraLite Mk3 audio interface).

My suggestion is to try a different adapter, those can be flaky sometimes.

Delroy's trick will work.

But buy a regular 3,5mm cable without microphone instead Smile

Thanks for the fast replies, i tested both solutions, so now I am confident to go premium Stick out tongue and will buy a decent cable and adapter from Steve (sounds heavenly).

have fun.... I really enjoy the sound reproduction through my B&O headphones and there are some great Apps and Amps out there where.

we tend to forget there is more to design than designing.
