I have been trying to set up my Beocom 6000 DECT network with VOIP using a Cisco adapter. While the setup works with a single analogue telephone, I can get neither dial tone or ringing on my Beocom set. I've tried using a single Become and no joy. Has anyone had success in doing this, or is time to say farewell to these lovely phones?

Hi and welcome to Beoworld.

I am not sure what the problem is here. Most VOIP adapters will accept a 'normal phone' plugged into them using an RJ11 socket.  The fact that the BC6000 is digital (DECT) should make no difference.  Have you tried different cables, in case there is a fault there?

Thanks Guy. yes, I've tried various cables and pretty much all combinations. The DECT point is that there are four phones on the system and require a certain voltage for them all to ring and I thought that might be the issue. So I tried a single phone, two, three and four with no joy. As mentioned, I can get this to work on a 'normal' phone so the hardware seems fine. I was wondering if anyone had successfully managed to hook the Beocom 6000 up to a VOIP system. If they have, at least I know it's achievable and will continue my quest.

Which DECT Base do you use?

Hi - I did manage it at one point - I have the seperate older DECT thingy and it just pluggd into the analogue port on the VOIP Adaptor - the problem I had was with the provider so I went back to a landline to keep the phones. So yes, there is no reason why it shouldn't work.

Hi

We have the same problem with cisco voip (SPA112)  and beocom 6000 MK1 (basestation in the pyramid charger).

Cisco voip and regular analog phone (not b&o)  work without problems. We will try now with a separate b&o pstn basestation.

Please tell us when and how your system works with beocom 6000.

Not sure where you are, but here in Australia I have my Beocom 6000 plugged directly into the modem and VOIP works fine. B&O also confirmed these phones work with VOIP.
