Millemissen:
Kromer:
I can take a screenshot of the setup pages if you like.
I am sure that would be helpful! MM

and describe your setup / your B&o system!

a test:

  1. place the BS6500 in option 2 (in standby: SOUND 2 STORE with your BL1000; be sure the BS6500 does confirm it)
  2. unplug everything from the mains
  3. unplug the PL cable between the BLC and the BS6500
  4. re-plug the BS6500 and the BLC to the mains
  5. WAIT until both are up and running in stdby status  (essential) - then re-plug the mains of the T1611

what happens if you press TV on the BL1000?

Thanks Søren and Carolpa for your input.

Later this week I will do the suggested test and try some of the mentioned BL1000 commands. I'll post some pictures of the setup pages aswell. And I'll try to be more systematic and precise in my descriptions Whistle I hope this doesn't hijack the thread but it seems on topic.

Soren:

Beomaster 6500 understand the following Video commands: TV - SAT(DTV) - V.TAPE(V.MEM) - CDV(DVD) - V.TAPE2(DVD2) it should be possible to set the BLC up so you can use one of these commands for Tunein instead.

I am using SAT(DTV) for nettadio on my BM7000

Søren

Thanks for this! I recieved my NL/ML converter yesterday. I look forward to installing it!

Hello everyone,

what about the following connection: BeoSys 5000 (1982) to converter 1611 (AAUX) to Beosound Moment (using a Masterlink to RJ45 cable)?

Would it make available the BeoSys sources to the x app?

In other words, can a beosound Moment function as the nl/ml converter in the previously mentioned setups?

Wouldnt work since the Masterlink to RJ45 would distribute ML signal. Analog.

No

The NL/ML converts the analog Masterlink to digital Network Link. The Moment is a Network Link product and the 1611 is a Masterlink product. You need the converter to convert! :)

Since the master link is analogue and the network link is digital the rj45 to master link cable is used for what? Only audio signal?

Okay, I promised you a description of my setup. This little project involves 1 BS essence, a Beosystem 6500 and a beolab 2000, no beovisions.

- The essence is named after the Beomaster 900 RGC that it is connected to

- The beolab 2000 is connected with Beolink wireless 1  to the blc 1611. It is the tape version.

- Bs6500 is connected with A.aux/datalink to the 1611. Set to Ir opt. 2.

- The blc nl/ml is connected with ml cable to the 1611 on ml side. NL is connected to the router with a wifi extender as cable wasn't an option. Setup: see pictures. Named Beosystem 6500.

Everything turned on in the order suggested by Carolpa

Prioritized Bs6500 integration goals s are as follows

- To maintanin experience of using bs6500 as close to original as possible.

- Easiest possible acces to internet radio with Bs6500 and bl2000

- Distibution of bs6500 sources. mainly for future use

- App control of bs6500. mostly for fun and show off Whistle

Setup pages from blc nl/ml

Note, on ir mapping, I'm unable to set n.radio to empty.

There is nothing new as to how it behaves

It hasn't made any difference to change tunein to v.mem. TV Command doesn't do anything now, other than switch bs6500 to aux, but no sound. A work around for "joining" with bs6500 is using the sat/dtv command to activate BLC line in and then join in the app, which I have to do anyway. The behavior of the bl2000 is very similar except it doesn't accept Video commands so it can't turn on NL sources.

But, as mentioned earlier, I'm quite happy with it. My main daily use is Tunein and airplay and that works very well. Bs6500 sources are distributed and controlled by app very easily.

TuneIn on Bs6500 is like using the FM radio except preset numbers are not displayed. I can use the numbers on the bl1000 though. That's brilliant! and by far the best part for me.

Thanks for your description. It was very informative for me.

I am fiddling around with my NL/ML converter now and i think i can make it work the way i want to.

I have ordered a IR-eye for the NL/ML to control it standalone with Line IN source and Beolab speakers connected but i wonder if i can control it through my BM6500 that i have in the same room.
That would spare me a IR Eye on the wall.

I only need it to control the volume of the LINE IN (3rd party TV).
I need a PL > RJ45 converter to test it.

My NL/ML is V.master in V.opt 2
My BM6500 is in A.opt 2
I think that is correct since there is only one IR (The BM6500). The NL/ML opens the Line In as intended when i press TV on the remote. But the question is if i can control the volume with the Beolabs on the NL/ML
