The connector between my Beocom 4 and the base station has become unreliable. Are these available from anywhere, and has anyone here managed to successfully carry out the replacement?

Don't fully understand which bit has become unreliable!  It is one of the three cables that comes out of the little adaptor, or is the fault elsewhere?

No, the fault appears to be the two pin connector that the phone sits on, then it's on the base (or the matching part in the phone itself). A slight movement of the phone is sometimes necessary to make it charge. This has led to the phone sometimes having a flat battery.

I haven't heard of that fault before.  There's a service manual available on the site but the only exploded view is of the handset rather than the base.  It could be worth contacting AVA Services to see if they can suggest a method of repair. http://www.avaservices.co.uk/accessories.html

I had a charging fault with my Beocom 4 that I eventually traced to a dodgy connection at the PSU end of the power cable - apparently this is quite common.  I had to 'break' apart the PSU and re-solder the power connector.

Thank you for the pointer to AVA Services - I hadn't come across them previously. It may be that the connector in the base cannot be replaced, but the diagram certainly shows the two-finger connector in the handset quite clearly as a separate part. It's therefore worth replacing that in the hope that it was the faulty side!
