Apologies chaps for what is probably an easy question.......close to getting a Moment soon for my lounge connected to my BS4/BV12-65/ 5.1 set-up....no issues using the Moment in the lounge, dont really want to carry the tablet into other rooms........can i operate the Moment, admittedly in a limited way, with an Essence remote in a different room?
I think the answer is no....due to lack of IR line of sight, but just wanted to double check.....
I'd love to put an Essence remote in my kitchen just to control volume, skip tracks, pause music etc.......if the answer to the above is no, i.e. just simply getting an Essence remote, is there another way to do it?

Why not just take your Beoremote with you?

There is a tv - and there is a BV
into the other room / kitchen? could do, but thats (BR One) is IR, sure the same line of sight issue as with having an Essence fitted in the kitchen set to the relevant IR mode......
Still the easiest way to find out, whether the kitchen is too far away or not?
oh sorry, agreed, good point, was being a bit dumb!.....the dealer is lending me an essence remote, so will try with that.......would be so happy if it worked! really trying to stop carrying my iPhone everywhere......
