I seem to remember that you must first go into the service menu and remove the link to inbuilt DVD machine, then plug the external DVD1 in and use the DVD button on the Beo4

the dvd1 can be controled with VTAPE, you must select the appropriate scart and vtape config menu

You need to set the socket to B&O V.Tape and use the V.Tape socket as it is RGB - I have a BC2 attached to my Avant RF with non functional DVD!! Works fine!
