Hope someone can help me here
Current set up is beosystem 3 connected to beovision 4 65"
sources connected to beosystem, sky + HD, Apple TV, PS3 via Mykonos, all working fine
everythink is controlled by beo6 that I have programmed myself
so today I purchased Amazon fire TV stick
anyone know how I can programme beo 6 to control ?

You can't control the fire TV 'stick' by IR as it only support bluetooth remote.
If you purchase the fire TV 'box' instead of the stick, you can plug in a USB IR receiver and it can then be controlled (either by PUC, or directly by the beo6).

You can train the codes it uses ?
Connect to the firetv stick with a "Y" usb cable to pass power and commands to the firetv stick

As Martin already said, you can`t control your stick with the Flirc, because there is no USB socket. You`ll need the fire tv.
When connected to the Flirc USB-IR receiver, you can control fire tv via PUC from your Beovision, using a BL1000, Beo4,5,6, and even from linkrooms.

Quite simple.
you need a Beovision with puc, puc ir cable, Beo6, config. tool with the puc included you want to use (or build your own Beo6 puc).
a fire tv, laptop with flirc program.
- select an av socket to connect your fire tv
- select a puc
- connect the ir cable to the correspondind ir socket and fasten ir transmitter on the flirc
- progeam the flirc as described in the flirc program with help of your Beo6 and the puc.
- plug the flirc into the fire tv usb socket.
- fasten ir transmitter on the flirc
- select the video source you have choosen for the av socket connected to the fire tv.
- control your fire tv withe Beo4/5/6, even from linkrooms (you will need an additional HDMI - composite converter to get audio/video on your link tvs.
- have fun.

Since it seems that the AppleTV Remote can control flirc...... You can try the Apple Remote PUC in the config tool.

As said before you dont control fire tv with Beo4/5/6, because the Beoremotes are ir and fire tv is bluetooth, similiar to your ps3.
Your Beo6 will control the flirc device via ir puc - you can use the apple tv puc, although the fire tv has more buttons, i think - and the flirc will control the fire tv. I'm using the puc for a sagem box with BV7/BS3 setup - similiar to your setup, and everything is working fine.
I'm using the Sagem HD PVR101 puc to control the Flirc.

What i need for it; only the FLIRC USB DEvice in the Amazon box or anything else?

Let me try to help.
My beovision4 is controlled by a beosystem3
The Amazon fire TV box is an hdmi input to the beosystem3
so what I have is the flirc is plugged into the USB port on the fire TV box there is a b&o ir bud stuck to the front of the flirc and connected to the beosystem 3
The beo 6 is fooled into thinking the flirc is a Sagem HD PVR101 (change names in the screen view)
When you programme the flirc you have to do it using the beo 6 via the beosystem 3 with the ir bud stuck to the flirc
I have to say it wasn't the easiest and took a few tries to make it work but worth it

What to do with the PUC?
Think it is sufficient to connect the FLIRC USB to my amazon fire box and train my beo6 remote...

As far as I know you can't train a beo6. You have to programme it via the puc config software ?
also I was also under the impression that b&o remotes transmitted on a different frequency to others ?
Does your beo6 control any devices at the moment ?

With Beo Config Tool for Beo 5 and 6 both remotes can send every possible infrared code.You'll need pronto codes and convert them or an Ir code learner like the Lintronic TT238 box (which I use). With the Lintronic box I can copy every infrared remote I have at home to finally just use a Beo 5 for everything.Lintronic TT238 + Beo 5 / 6 is the best remote package for me compared with Logitech Harmony etc.The only better solution would be RTI or Crestron remotes.

Got now my FLIRC USB, but what is the best remote to chose for the amazon fire box (11 buttons) from the ct tool?
The Apple remote only has 7 buttons (in the configuration tool and original) but the amazon ha 11(12 is for the micro)? Which remote you chose in the ct for train with the flirc?
Flirc USB works with the PS4 too, i.e. as bluray remote...

If I buy Lintronic TT238 would it be possible that I use it only to learn/convert codes from various IR remotes into XML for Beo5 remote?
And then to replace AC, TV, AppleTV and other remotes with Beo5?

@Jack: Could you solve the amazon fire tv box problem with ct tool? Do you use the Flirc USB with the PS4 or was this just a guess?
@AnalagPlanet: Yes, at least with the old ones (Hardware 5.1...) it was possible and that's what I did with it. :-) Michael from Lintronic helped me when I got problems!The software for learning has a bug where it renames the last learned command to "new function" when you copy another "new function". That means a little more effort but it works. I've read from other people that they simply edited the XML file after learning the commands. I can't comment on that as I have no programming knowledge. :)
Do NOT install the latest config tool from B&O because they remove the possibility of mixing B&O and non B&O commands on the hardware buttons.

I bookmarked the CT 5.12 as it was a referent version in the Configuration Guide published here on Beoworld Forum... ...so I'll try with that one.
In essence, I just bought Beo5 the other day on eBay as it was cheap and I like it as a small tech-sculpture more than I really badly need its function. Still, I have no remote for my Beocenter 8500 so I will use it for that and then I thought well, I might also program basic commands of my LG TV and AC on/off command in the living room. Just to add a bit more "magic" to it.
Let's see how that goes once I receive it. :)
